'Unbroken Bonds,' May's English SM10 Set!

All of these pack arts (aside from the Charizard/Reshiram one, kinda meh) are gonna look sick on League Cup/Regional mats.

    Discussion Powering-up a Celebi & Venusaur GX

Today's control decks do not attach Energy. They literally just burn you out of resources while keeping theirs alive with Lusamine. Unless you ran Oranguru, (which the meta-viable versions do not), there is no contest and Celebi/Venusaur decks are autowins for control decks.

Discussion Alternate / Retro Formats: Yay or Nay?

I wish there was retro format support, but TPCi would argue this is fulfilled within the Expanded format. It isn't profitable for them to support tournaments with out-of-print cards that few people have (compared to the Standard and Expanded formats). I have a few retro decks built. My...

    Discussion Powering-up a Celebi & Venusaur GX

Three control decks included Crushing Hammer in Day 2 at Collinsville. My deck was one of them. Oranguru does not win you the control matchup. We let you take one Prize to trigger Counter Catcher and trap a Celesaur active and continue to remove Energy. If you choose to play Switch, the game...

    Discussion Powering-up a Celebi & Venusaur GX

The "tanky" Celebi/Venusaur-GX version is recognized as the playable version of the deck. I advise you to search for deck analyses on YouTube on the deck (AzulGG has a good one) and go from there. Manual attachment is all you need. You have Life Forest <>, Gardenia, and Shaymin to sponge all...

'Unbroken Bonds,' May's English SM10 Set!

Is there no hidden Pokémon in the SR Shrine Stadium like there were in the other SR Stadiums? Or am I blind?

    Discussion Powering-up a Celebi & Venusaur GX

Manual attachment has and is the only way this deck functions. Throwing acceleration takes away from the disruptive tanky strategy that beast is. I don't know what you'd even cut for a half-consistent Vikavolt line without removing core components of the strategy, other than Hammers or...

'Unbroken Bonds,' May's English SM10 Set!

This can be incredibly oppressive. Honchkrow-GX on turn 1 with Black Market Prism Star to keep Honchy as a one-Prizer, all the while smacking for 90 + 30 spread on turn 2. Sheesh.

Help Shuffle and Cut - How many times?

I've always cut. If time's not an issue for you, an extra shuffle or two doesn't hurt and further reduces the chance of cheating, but I like to think I'm focused at the task at hand and overshuffling kind of ruins the momentum/pacing of the game.

Help Which deck should i play my first league cup?

It's your first League Cup - I'd play something that was meta relevant and a deck I found fun playing. If things go south, you at least played a deck that you enjoy. Because Team Up is right around the corner (of being legal), this is your last hurrah to play whatever before the format changes a...
