Let's try this. Which is easier to get out: a searchable Basic Pokémon or a Trainer card? While you can make the argument that running a higher Catcher count can substitute Raikou, a Basic Pokémon is always MUCH to get out, and you can save your Catchers for when you need it more.

The fact that BW2 is confirmed to be a direct sequel is already making me want to buy the game, but... Whoever designed the characters needs to get fired. I know this takes place in the future, but where BW1 the characters had normal-ish hair and TWO years later the characters look ridiculous...

Because with Raikou you don't have to have Catchers, or you can save them for a later time. Raikou is just more flexible.

You're basically saying that investing five cards of your deck in order to do 150 damage every turn is more consistent (which itself is already a flawed statement), and should be used even though it decreases your odds of winning. While 150 damage every turn is nice, it isn't worth doing that...

You're acting as if Raikou is the end of the world. It isn't.

Wanting to end an argument is not a valid reason to delete an entire thread. Anyways, that's a discussion for another day. But in seriousness, Raikou probably doesn't need a counter. Just aggro the bloody card in about most decks, and if you're able to fit it to counter Eels, use Terrakion.

You are talking about exactly what I mean. Yes, some decks are completely gone while others lose some pretty important cards. This isn't anything new; it happens every rotation. This is why you need to adapt to the new format. Figure out new deck ideas that would fit into the metagame. While...

The idea behind the rotation is to keep the game fresh. It allows old decks to leave the format and brings new decks into the format, so there's more diversity in the game. And, looking in the past, I highly doubt that we'd skip a rotation again. As for the topic at hand, I don't really like it...
