Will the New Format Revolve Around Pokémon Catcher?

My bad, I forgot about those. Catcher will still take the skill out of the game, I'm not sure why people think that it will add skill. Sure it takes away some flips, but games will go way too fast and will have less strategy.

Will the New Format Revolve Around Pokémon Catcher?

Gust of wind didn't have junk arm though.

What deck will win worlds Contest!

I haven't thought of a name for it yet. I think that TyRam will win at least one division. Anyone disagree?

What deck will win worlds Contest!

Tyram is Typhlosion Reshiram, but that's not my secret deck.

DOX's PreWorlds Article Extravaganza: Article Three - ReshiPhlosion

You just made a point that hurt your own arguement. You said that it didn't require much luck, but earlier you said that it mainly loses because of bad luck.

Skill and deck are still much bigger than luck right now.

Will the New Format Revolve Around Pokémon Catcher?

Most decks play more than one attacker or thing that they need to get out, so it is hard to get two of everything you need out on your first turn.

What deck will win worlds Contest!

There is a very small chance of them having some sort of a secret deck because there are very few playable cards that are legal right now. I thought that the nationals format would be completely predictable without any secret decks, but Justin Williams came in and went 8-1 with sharpedo, so who...

What deck will win worlds Contest!

They were successful with Lostgar because they were able to play it with claydol so they could seeker and get draw, and still be able to swarm gengars. Lostgar highly depends on going first against most of the top decks. They won't play lostgar in the grinder for sure because it is hard to take...

Will the New Format Revolve Around Pokémon Catcher?

If people play 4 catcher and 4 junk arm then they will get them whenever they need, and will take prizes at will.

The 9-0 guy certainly did not lose only because of a misplay. He wasn't even sure if he would've won had he not misplayed. Even if he did end up winning that game, he would have gone to game three, where he would have gone second, and probably lost. You can only give so much to luck in this...

DOX's PreWorlds Article Extravaganza: Article Three - ReshiPhlosion

Ok guys, if TyRam beats every one of the main decks, then why hasn't won every single tournament? According to some of you, it is one of the fastest, the most consistant, does the most consistant damage, and now you are saying that it has perfect matchups. It is a very good deck that is...

Will the New Format Revolve Around Pokémon Catcher?

I feel that it makes going first an even bigger advantage tbh. If whoever goes first can pull off a turn two yanmega, which is not uncommon, then they can drag up whatever they want and knock it out, and then continue that for most of the game and possibly win in 7 turns. I don't see the...

That matchup really comes down to who goes first. If the Reshiphlosion goes first with a decent hand, then it will stay on pace with the Megazone, and easily win the prize trade off. If the megazone goes first, then it can keep the Reshiphlosion deck quiet for enough time to get a few prizes...

Is it still worth running Tyrogue?

It is 100% not worth it. If you use it instead of something else to knock out a baby, the knockout will just be returned later and you will be operating with one less bench space. I could've donked two games in a row at nats if I played it, but I still don't regret not playing it.

    Does Tyram(Reshiram/Typhlosion) need Ninetales?

That wasn't his point. His point was that you have to throw in the entire set if you mention catcher. If the format is different then the entire deck structure will be different. We can't just change formats mid thread and act like there's only one card in the next set. I think that the deck...

DOX's PreWorlds Article Extravaganza: Article Two - MegaZone

Great article, well written and nicely put together. The only thing that I have to disagree with is the use of tyrogue. Tyrogue can get a cleffa, sure, but yanmega can at any point in the game. If you use a tyrogue, it will just get knocked out by your opponent's yanmega. If you leave your...

    Does Tyram(Reshiram/Typhlosion) need Ninetales?

Catcher is not a legal card yet, we're talking about the format that we still have the biggest tournament of the year with. Ninetales can really help you draw out of bad hands, and make your hand get to a really high count so yanmegas need a copycat to attack.

What deck will win worlds Contest!

Without Zoroark the deck will have trouble with TyRam, which I think will make a very large showing at worlds.
