Any deck running Pokemon Ranger will negate the effects of Crystal Ray. However, players won't be able to use VS Seeker to grab Pokemon Ranger again, so it might be somewhat viable.

I play M Gardevoir (albeit in expanded) and I only use one Shaymin-EX. Frankly, it's a liability cause of its low HP but it does help with consistency. Oricorio's Vital Dance ability gets me the energy I need and Hoopa-EX fills up my bench quickly. I use Skyla to grab Sky Field or a spirit link...

MLdarknightmare had some good suggestions. I would add that Aqua Patch would be a great addition to this deck to accelerate energy to Vanilluxe.

Feebas is the card to watch out for from this set. TPCi really outdid themselves this time.

I would say Lurantis is your better option. Use 4 Fomantis, 3 promo Lurantis and 1 or 2 Lurantis-GX (depending on how often you go for more damage with Bulu). Fomantis gives you rudimentary energy acceleration and you won't need to run Rare Candy.
