Is it just me or is this set freaking all over the place? Basic evolutions, completely random (not to mention terrible) EX cards, full arts of Pokemon that evolve etc. etc.

RE: Your X&Y Team? The only ones I think I'll have that have been revealed so far are Chespin and Clauncher (if Clauncher evolves into a Water/Electric!). Other possibilities are Litleo and Helioptile, because I don't know what they evolve into just yet...

There's no way it's not a new game. It crackles in and out - it's definitely a teaser for something to come, otherwise they would've just shown a fancy cut scene or something.

I'm a big fan of 5ban, especially the cards they've released recently - mainly because they suit holographic cards so well. Some of the Plasma 5ban cards are gorgeous.

There will be X and Y products before the year's end, most likely it's going to be those starters tins they always print. Something will be announced very soon, the next week possibly (well, the next set will certainly be this week), it may be a wee bit longer before the first X and Y products...

I'm particularly interested in how these Pokemon are going to fit into the story. Admittedly they revealed Electivire before release even though he wasn't obtainable prior to getting the National Dex, but he was still a fourth gen Pokemon. For X and Y we've been shown a whole slew of new Pokemon...

I'm pretty sure the Mewtwo and Xerneas scenes are separate - that is to say Mewtwo is seen using a move, then Xerneas is shown to be using Geomancy - it's not one attack animation.

There has been zero evidence of this so far, only speculation.

Blastoise is the Shell Pokemon, translated into English as the Shellfish Pokemon. Cyndaquil is the Fire Mouse Pokemon in both Japanese and English.
