If I was you I'd go with dark-rai its pretty cheap, straight forward, powerful, and with the new set coming out will still be a viable deck to play (although tbh id wait until after plasma freeze came out to start buildign it as the deck list will change a bit im sure)

I hope next time regionals rolls around I get to go this time and we can face each other cause Im from New England as well lul

Just play one of the current meta's that you feel most comfortable with, they all could win given the right hand, depending on yoru play style if you want a fast attack deck but your weakness is the donk factor then I'd play blastouise, If you wanna play a LITTLE slower dark-rai deck that the...

mmm Junkhunt computer search/energy retrieval makes it so you get any card for basically free each turn (assuming you had 2 energy in the discard to start with), but then again sable-eye with any Ace Spec is pretty amazing.

Almost all ace specs are good, wait for plasma freeze and the amount of scramble switches we're gonna see being played.

well dark wasn't really around 1st gen so not too much out of the early sets if that helps.
