Just play Lysandre. For trainer cards, most of the time card effect changes are retroactive. That means that if a new version of a trainer is released (say, Pokémon Catcher or Bill), old versions have the same effect as the most up-to-date version.

Just as a reminder, a Confused Pokémon does not hit itself for 30 damage, you put 3 damage counters on it, which is different ;)

The effect is applied AFTER damage. Pachirisu will only do 10 damage. Also, if the Defending Pokémon had no weakness to begin with, it will still have no weakness.
