Japan's XY10 Set: 'Awakening of Psychic Kings,' Alakazam!

That Lucario is...uh...wow. Pretty remarkable. Even if you have 2 Pokemon out, it's still doing a ton of damage. It kind of suffers from the same issue Mind Jack does though, where the damage you do is dependent on how your opponent plays.

    Discussion Garbodor Partners

Giratina might be a good idea, unless you're up against Mega decks. Though if you are against Mega decks, you could just not play down Garbodor. I tried Mega Mewtwo/Yveltal/Garbodor at a Cities and did okay with that, though it was a bit clunky. Seismitoad/Garb is an obvious good choice, but...

Japan's XY10 Set: 'Awakening of Psychic Kings,' Alakazam!

Aw no, why did they make my favourite Pokemon so...eh? Needs 5 Energy to hit the lower "magic number" of 180, and then Mewtwo can just eat it alive next turn. No synergy with Double Dragon Energy either, so you can't even use it like the stage 2 Kingdra.

    Discussion Trevenant BREAK Discussion Thread

Sure, that scenario could happen. But I think that's a lot to have in your hand for the one turn, and if your DCE gets Xerosic'd, you're set back a bit. I guess I'll need to play the Darkrai matchup more with Trevenant to understand more of it, but I don't think it's massively bad for the trees...

    Discussion Trevenant BREAK Discussion Thread

Most decks (including Darkrai/Malamar/Hypno) should start running Xerosic for Garbodor. As far as the deck goes, I think Trevenant has the edge in speed- to set up in 2 turns Darkrai needs a Dark energy and a DCE, and if you waste your attachment on a Malamar then it just sets you back a turn...

    Discussion Trevenant BREAK Discussion Thread

You could maybe spread damage around with Trev Break for a few turns then sweep with Wobbuffet, winning the prize trade I guess? Those decks run DCEs, so Enhanced Hammer or Xerosic could help with that a bit, as could Team Flare Grunt. The decks also run a very high item count to my knowledge...

TCG Fakes Lost Auras Awakened Text-Based Set - (New "Awakened Pokémon" Mechanic)

Last one for Friday. With the battle between Aura Groudon and Aura Kyogre brought to a sudden end with the Awakening of Rayquaza, Cyrus reveals himself and unleashes an attack on the Dragon Pokemon with his Yveltal. The battle is tough, but eventually, Yveltal's Aura overflows and...

Very nice fossil support, I definitely approve. It also means that you can run multiple fossils, with Aerodactyl being Colorless so you don't need to worry about Energy.

    Discussion Jolteon EX

It's a decent one-of in Magnezone to use against decks that just aren't prepared to deal with it. It's a Pyroar that can't be turned off once it attacks, with 50 more HP and you don't have to evolve, so it's at least decent. I can't see it being splashed into anything other than Magnezone...

Art Gallery Light's Designs - Cards, Drawings, and Fakemon

More love for Chimecho! That card looks gorgeous, and a great set-up ability too.

TCG Fakes Lost Auras Awakened Text-Based Set - (New "Awakened Pokémon" Mechanic)

I will keep an eye out for the mays. Also changed CCC to your first suggestion - I think that since it locks you too, the second stipulation may not be as necessary. But I guess you couldn't find out unless these cards were played for real. Probably the penultimate update! Thanks for sticking...

Yaaaaay....coin flips..... Though the card does look really cool.

I really like this! Restored Pokemon just don't get enough love and, while this may still be a big setup, hopefully it could make for a fun deck.

    Discussion Trevenant BREAK Discussion Thread

1-of Breakpoint Trevenant is a good idea, I think. I'm putting it with Wobbuffet and Absol ROS, just for the easy counter-move. Silent Fear + Absol + Wobbuffet can OHKO a Shaymin!

TCG Fakes Lost Auras Awakened Text-Based Set - (New "Awakened Pokémon" Mechanic)

Okay, getting closer to the end now...only a few updates to go. Today is apparently Dragon day...because I forgot to space them out in other updates! Oh well.

TCG Fakes bbninjas' Fakes - Knightly Nights Image-Based Set - 73.0% Complete!

Well when you consider that Aurorus exists...I bet that Lapras could be really fun! Especially since Water already has lots of defensive/healing tools.

Japan's XY10 Set: 'Awakening of Psychic Kings,' Alakazam!

This and the Break are incredibly situational - this card less so, though. Probably too much of a risk to focus a deck around them, but maybe it'll come in handy as a 2-2-2 line someday?

Japan's XY10 Set: 'Awakening of Psychic Kings,' Alakazam!

Little bit confused by the N reprint, I mean we're years past Black and White game-wise. At least we'll have another decent draw supporter though. Actually hold on, do we know that the N is a reprint? It makes sense but there's a finger covering the card text.

    Giratina-EX Variants

I will write up a list at some point, after more testing. I run 6 Grass and 6 Psychic Energy, 4 Max Elixir and a 3-3-3 Togekiss build, along with 2 Shaymin. That's the basic "core" of the deck. It's incredibly single-minded, so I guess more of a tech demo than anything, but it's fun.

TCG Fakes Lost Auras Awakened Text-Based Set - (New "Awakened Pokémon" Mechanic)

I did think about that, but I didn't want to make it between every turn because that would be too much of a downside for Eelektross. I balanced it knowing I'd made Clemont's Machine in the previous set (basically Dark Patch for Electric) and thought the attack was good enough to have a bit of a...
