'Emerald Break' Beginning to Leak! [3/11]

I like what I'm seeing so far. Both Natu and Xatu are pretty unique and can combo well with dimension valley. A Luxray from FF has a similar attack as Xatu's second one, but I could never make a good deck with it because it was a stage 2. A stage 1 that benefits from DV should be much more...

    Double Dragon Energy Discussion

Another option (for mirror matches specifically), Kecleon PLF. If you can find a way to get one more energy into play (Reshiram of this upcoming set), you can copy a lot of attacks. Hydreigon EX might also be good to switch out after using Reshiram's ability.

    Emerald Break Latios EX

I have mixed feelings. I think it's a good card overall, but it might not be good for the game. Stage 2s already struggle enough with the toad out there, but now we have a card that can easily do 40 T1 (which can be boosted up to 90 with Muscle Band and Laser Bank). I mean, 40 for 1 is...

    Counter That Deck

RE: Counter That Deck! Plasma Espeon / Wobbuffett / Dimension Valley They both hit for weakness and with DV can attack for 1 energy. More importantly, Espeon can snipe Machops and Meditites for weakness before they have a chance to evolve. If Machamp does evolve, Wobbuffett shuts down the...

Benchsitters for M Ray Discussion Thread

There's also Dedenne, Kangaskhan, and the new Skarmory. All of them have CFF which helps fill up the bench. They also have decent secondary attacks. They are technically bench sitters even if they don't have any abilities, but they also get other bench sitters (like mr Mime) out.

    Double Dragon Energy Discussion

Latios EX from Plasma Storm is another good one. A single DD energy does 40 with retreat lock. An additional attachment does 150 (170 with Muscle Band and even more with Altaria BC). There's also the Dragonite from the same set. Horrible 5 energy cost requiring 2 different types, but it does...

    Latios-EX from ‘Emerald Break!’ [3/11]

Agreed, especialy with laserbank still in format.

I like the robo sub idea.

Hydreigon-EX and Double Dragon Energy from ‘Emerald Break!’ [3/9]

Yeah, I was ready to write that Dragonite off as complete filler until I saw that it had that cool ancient trait. It could also be good with Milotic FF as you'll still have the prize lead.

Hydreigon-EX and Double Dragon Energy from ‘Emerald Break!’ [3/9]

I'm wondering if we could start to see new Aromatisse Varients using Dragons and Double Dragon energy. Double Dragon Energy can be moved around as long as it stays attached to a Dragon type Pokemon. You could even take advantage of Thundurus EX and use it with Dialga and Palkia from Plasma...

Hydreigon-EX and Double Dragon Energy from ‘Emerald Break!’ [3/9]

It's a shame a lot of what's going to be good with DD energy is most likely going to be rotated 3 months after the set is released. Latias and Latios EX from Plasma Freeze become a whole lot more playable now. (So do Black and White Kyurem EX). We also lose Altaria. Hydreigon's okay, but...

    Togekiss from ‘Emerald Break’ [3/8]

This looks like it has some potential.

    Counter That Deck

RE: Counter That Deck! Plasma Beartic/Flareon/Leafeon Beartic takes care of Landorus easily while Hawlucha can't touch it. Flareon and Leafeon are colorlress type advantage (Flareon takes care of Metal attackers and Leafeon deals with the primals)

Discussion Deck Engines - the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Typically, the standard deck engine is the way I go, but with a few variations depending on the deck. -If the deck is a stage 2 deck, I use less Sycamore/Juniper and more Shuffle and Draw (Colress/Birch). -For EX heavy decks, I add a Xerosic to take care of head ringer. -1 or 2 teammates...

M Latios-EX, Reshiram, Rayquaza Cards from ‘Emerald Break’ [2/28]

For the Reshiram, there's the team Magma Claydol that can move energy. There's also that Eelektross from Primal Clash (and there's always energy switch).

    Plasma's Return

Genesect also has G Booster. With one Deoxys in play, you can take care of Manectric and Gardevoir's Megas. Flareon could also be used in case Mega Aggron becomes a thing. Another idea I've thought of is using Snorlax with Deoxys. This can max out at 250 if you have 4 Deoxys and a...

    Ancient Swellow and Delta Plus

I'm more optimistic about this card. Unlike Lugia EX (which requires Plasma Energy to even attack), this doesn't require a deck built around it. Any time there's Pokemon with 30 HP or less, you can slap a DCE on this and take an extra prize. That alone can be pretty scary.

    Counter That Deck

RE: Counter That Deck! Mega Gardevoir/Aromatisse/Fairies (Xerneas/Xerneas EX/Florges EX) Xerneas EX is especially good against those 130/140 HP Pokemon. The HP keeps it out of OHKO range while Aromatisse/Max Potion heals the HP. Mega Gardevoir may not be necessary for that matchup, but the...

    Plasma's Return

I think the bigger issue for Plasma is only having four multitype energy (four rainbow). This puts a lot of limits on what can be played together.

    N vs Professor Birches Observations

Yeah, N is just too good. The only decks that I could see not running 4 N (outside of some weird hand disruption/mill deck) is Mega Gardevoir, as that doesn't let opponents take prizes as easily, but even there, I wouldn't run any less than 3. That said, I don't think PBO is a bad choice if...
