    Playable Stage 2s

Dragon Call Gabite was nice, but the problem with it's actual attack was horrendous. I mean so bad that we would have laughed at it back in base set days. Most evolving stage 1s in the current format max out at 60 for 3 or 80 for 4. Even if you got an attack off, you'd be killed next turn by...

    Is Pyroar Dead?

I kind of hope so. The card made the game too much like rock paper scissors for my taste.

    Playable Stage 2s

RE: Playable Stage 2's Miltank is interesting, but I haven't been able to get it to work unless I play it as a 1 of. It's too dependent on getting the stage 2 out, otherwise it just does 10 damage. What I think stage 2s really need is what GadgetJax suggested, strong pre evolutions that can...

    Playable Stage 2s

RE: Playable Stage 2's Pretty much this. I personally have only managed to get 3 stage 2s to work in decks (for the BC on format), but I'm speculating on how others could be good.

    Playable Stage 2s

I think part of the problem, aside from the toad, is that stage 2s require so much deck space. Even a 3-1-3 line is a 6th of your deck. With deck space tight enough as it is, most stage 2s are just not practical. That said, I think that with the right build, stage 2s can be put into winning...

If the First Turn Rule Didn't Exist

I'm glad that rule exists. Could you imagine getting toad locked turn one? Or being hit with Landorus + Strong Energy + Muscle Band + Virbank Laser? Or even something like Charizard EX + Blacksmith + DCE + Muscle Band. At that time, we thought plasma decks were pretty broken, but I think...

    Rayquaza EX

It looks like there's a spirit link after all.... Uh oh...

    Rayquaza EX

Shaymin/Rayquaza/Skyfield sounds about right. This is one card I hope doesn't get a spirit link. Getting this out T1 without losing a turn sounds extremely broken.

    New Type Advantage Attackers

Grass: Accelgor (FUF). Can do 60 for 1 colorless the turn it's evolved and has free retreat. Fire: Not much I can think of. Charizard EX with wing attack would be the best splashable option, but it falls short of EX knockouts even wit Muscle Band. Water: Beartic (FUF). Lightning: Raichu...

    Skyfield

Empoleon and Shiftry will like this too. Zoroark decks could also benefit.

May's English Set: 'Roaring Skies', First Info Revealed! [2/10]

Now things are getting interesting. Shaymin EX looks like it could be the next Jirachi (searchable Pokemon that can act as a draw card the minute it hits the field). I'm thinking this might be better than Jirachi because you can still play another supporter after using the ability (kind of...

Discussion Could Blastoise Make a Comeback?

I'm testing a version with 3 Kyurem EX (Plasma Blast), 2 Keldeo EX, 1 Mewtwo EX, and 1 Kyurem PLF. I use max dive ball and 3 bicycles to ensure a good set up.

Discussion Could Blastoise Make a Comeback?

Another thing, Squirtle from PLB can paralyze on a coin flip. It's not much, but in a pinch, it could break the toad lock.

Discussion Could Blastoise Make a Comeback?

Exactly. Black Kyurem isn't the end all or be all for water decks. In fact, I think it's a little too clunky because of the odd energy cost. I'd rather run DCE and cards like Mewtwo EX and Kyurem EX (PLB). They can deal with the toad while still dishing out big damage to a lot of other...

    Rayquaza EX

But I think being splashable with decent attacks is what might make these see some play. It worked for Mega Kangaskhan. I'm actually more impressed with the basic EXes, particularly the one with Rising Burn (10 base and 50 more to EXes). For one energy, that's really good and could prove...

    Over-Simplicity: Is it an Issue

RE: Over-Simplicity: Is it an issue? ^ lol don't get me started on Yugioh. It's almost to the point where the rules make more sense in the anime than in the TCG. Honestly, it's the simplest cards which have the most strategy behind them. Take Energy Switch, a simple card with a specific...

    Rayquaza EX

We're getting TWO Rayquaza EX AND a Mega and they're all colorless! Below are the translations from the Pokebeach main page. I like these a lot. We were well over due for some strong, fighting resistant colorless Pokemon. Aero Scream provides a splashable big hitter and Rising Burn is...

There's still plenty of time for water, fire, and darkness to get their chance to shine.

May's English Set: 'Roaring Skies', First Info Revealed! [2/10]

I'm guessing the turbo energy is some kind of lightning energy? If double dragon energy is what I think it is (A double rainbow energy exclusively for dragons), it could be broken. And here I was thinking a single dragon energy would be good. Looking forward to more Dragon support.
