Tournament Poll for September Tournament Format

I feel that if you're gonna do Worlds format, do it in August, feels a bit weird playing it after rotation... also I really don't like *this* year's worlds format, too much Zoroark and puzzles. (Voted expanded, which I'm enjoying a lot so far, but we haven't hit rotation yet and who knows how...

    Discussion Expanded Post-Ban

I wanted to get some testing in on PTCGO (does this work? What do I tech for?) but it feels like the stronger players are all playing standard to prepare for worlds, been hitting some pretty weak decks... I'm eyeing either an expanded version of the Pidgeot/Garbodor deck I've been playing most...

Discussion Lost Zone Making A Comeback?

All the prism stars kind of make me want mew prime and gengar + lost world reprints.

2019 Season Announced: Locations and Dates for Regionals, Internationals

Philly's exactly three weeks after rotation... hope that (including travel time, and time for the ordered cards to arrive) I can get sufficient testing in, if I go. Definitely making Hartford, not sure if any others, it's a long way from Massachusetts...

News 'Lost Thunder,' America's November Set!

Set completion just got harder. I'll still try (on TCGO anyway) but wow, definitely surprising to see such a big one. Wonder how many of those will be playable and if it'll be a GRI-tier shakeup of the meta, but we haven't even hit rotation yet so speculating on that seems a little premature...

Pikachu and Eevee 'Collector's Chest Tin' This Fall!

I love the legendary birds and am always happy to see them get cards, hope this set is playable. Can't make it out too well but Articuno's probably an easy tech if fire picks up in play with the DCE attack, if nothing else.

Blog In-Depth Look at Wobbuffet / Primal Groudon-EX for the HGSS-on format (PTCGO Unlimited)

I'd argue Lugia LEGEND is a bigger part of the meta these days than some of what you listed... or at least I seem to play against more of them. Same with M-Mewtwo-EX although the good M-Mewtwo decks I've played against mostly ran Yveltal beside it anyway. Junk Arm + Lost Remover is just brutal...

Crobat prime + Sigilyph + Tornadus (contains NV cards)

I hadn't thought of Rocky Helmet. Seems worth adding a couple... guess I'll remove an eviolite (less useful without Tornadus) and a Twins (not falling behind often enough) to make room. Gonna edit my top post to put up the new decklist now.

Crobat prime + Sigilyph + Tornadus (contains NV cards)

Where I am is at the moment just online, and I've been lucky not to run into Zekrom - I'm sure this deck will get its first loss when it meets one. Maybe another colorless replacement, but one based on a normal or dragon-type pokemon to avoid an electric weakness? Druddigon looks useful -...

Crobat prime + Sigilyph + Tornadus (contains NV cards)

If I'm adding rare candy, wouldn't it make more sense to take out my Golbat? I'm using both because Golbat can be grabbed with pokemon communication and played without Crobat in the hand (i.e. before an oak's new theory or a Juniper) while rare candy gives extra speed when I get it.

Criticism on unlimited format decks in a league that allows it?

No disagreement there. Though coming up with them can be a lot of fun.

Criticism on unlimited format decks in a league that allows it?

I'm not convinced that deck's unbeatable. For instance, there's a card in unlimited called focus band, which depends on a coin flip, but if it flips heads the would-be-KO'd pokemon survives with 10 HP. Easy to throw into any deck and gives you a chance against that donkfest, so if it became an...

Unlimited Articuno ex/Pidgeot energy denial deck

Lost zone is certainly better than the discard, because you can't recover cards from it, but special energy are already hard to recover I think, and pretty much all decks I've played so far rely primarily on basic energies, which that card can't touch. (Then again, if there is an unlimited...
