2025 Standard Format Rotation Announced for April!

ptcg is already criticized in the card game scene for being very rigid and not having counter actions, there were many metagames where the winners were simply decided by whoever played first. removing gust effects (boss, catcher, etc.) and disruption (iono, stamp etc.) would make the game much...

    Ludicolo from Battle Partners!

i doubt that the translation of ludicolo's ability will be 'vital samba' here at west...ludicolo already contains a stereotypical representation of mexicans, but samba is a brazilian musical style.

    Ruffian from “Battle Partners!”

I love when TCG creates "filler" trainer classes for supporter cards... but thats not the case, he is in Kitakami dlc.

    Metagross from Battle Partners!

Yeah, i guess is because i love the nonsensical pairings, they are a sort of a "canon" way to discover different dimensions of the characters we love beyond of what is shown in the games. Bulk cards with partners would be VERY different than this garbage.

TPCi Reveals 2025 Season to Limit Worlds Invites, Only 125 TCG Masters for North America

yeah, its a good and healthy way of keep playing, but this is not true "competitive play". But i guess thats the thing, there is no sport (even though private games like tcg are not exactly a sport) that the competitive play is cheap and efortless

TPCi Reveals 2025 Season to Limit Worlds Invites, Only 125 TCG Masters for North America

Geez man, i know pokemon its the cheaper card game in standard format, but card game in general still overall a expensive hobbie, especially playing standard format competitively, since besides traveling to play major and premiere events, the format is so fluid that you almost need to buy a new...

Tatsugiri Illustration Rare from “Mask of Change!”

Its not strong as Celebrations Mew or Team up Jirachi, but its a very nice support Pokémon, in decks that relies on supporter trainers as a engine or control (Sada, Gardenia, Eri, Sisters etc.).

    Magcargo ex from “Crimson Haze”

raihan will be retired soon, but yeah, we are overthinking about a bad card haha just play gouging fire ex on your regular arven+zard deck and you got a much better early/midgame attacker the only way of cargo ex being playable in my opinion, is if we see further simplier stacking options like...

    Magcargo ex from “Crimson Haze”

also, i forgot armarouge, that is another tool, but yea Zard ex and basin are the only actually good fire acceleration. I agree that good acceleration is for circa 2 energies, but there is no card that do this without a combo or fullfilling certain circumstances. Thinking better, the problem...

How to Play the Most Well-Rounded Deck — Giratina VSTAR

This sounds like several specific and circumstantial scenarios, which, if anything, guarantee a certain advantage for the chien-pao ex, but it is not the same thing as autoloss. Autoloss means there is almost no way to win against a deck's basic strategy. Thats a bad matchup situation, not an...

How to Play the Most Well-Rounded Deck — Giratina VSTAR

In my opinion is the most versatile deck, very strong and disruptive, and there is no autolosses, you can win even bad matchups, but it requires a lot of thinking (sequencing, resources management, prize count, lost count) and resilience for major tournaments.

Pokemon Announces Legal Action Against Counterfeit Cards on Auction Platforms

Thats pretty common, speacially with young kids and their parents and happens SPECIALLY in 2023, that the card prices spiked and the bootleg cards are getting better and better.
