Indeed, I played against the guy who won our BRs last week and he was worried when I had Thundurus out. It's not quite as strong because Darkrai can OHKO with little effort, but it's still the best starter you can ask for in Eels.

I'm really having trouble smoothing out my decklist after a mediocre performance at last week's BRs. I know they don't matter that much but it shows how the format's changed and I'd like to make my list better. Any tips? I plan to replace probably a PlusPower with Raikou-EX.

If your argument is that they'll Catcher around Tornadus to get KOs anyway, wouldn't that make the EX better? Eventually they'll probably be forced to attack into it and EX lasts much longer.

Definitely go with Random Receiver. Much stronger with Dual Ball.

I recommend Smeargle for the boost it gets, and it has free retreat 90% of the time with the deck. Another attacker will be excellent against Eels as well. You don't want all of your attackers being OHKOd and then being forced into the Mewtwo war. I recommend Regigigas. :)

RE: Japan's Nationals Lots of diversity, and I'm very pleased to see Stage 2 decks making a big return. :D

I don't think there's a ton of ideas that'll shake up the format, but I have made a fun deck with Cinccino NXD to add more stall time in case they get a Switch. I think that Trainer-lock would be needed, but yeah, it's tough to tell.

What about Zoroark? I can only imagine that would give a few problems.

After rotation I imagine I'll try a Bridge version. Without Smeargle it'll be difficult but it will be better against Darkrai and such.
