Why Don't Most Competitive Players Bling Out Their Decks?

Really, the only reason that I even have Full Art cards is because I just hit them in packs by chance. I wouldn't ever explicitly look for or purchase Full Art cards because 1. There are some thieves out there that would steal them and 2. They're just too expensive to have to buy 4 FA Juniper...

Need Deck Help! (Hydreigon / Yveltal)

Lolz. That's why I play 2 Darkrai EX in my Yveltal EX/Raichu deck. It does help. Can I suggest, if you don't like having at least 1 Darkness energy on everything to allow for free retreat, then how about running 1 copy of Keldeo EX to enable free retreat with a Rush In and Dark Cloak combo. It's...

    Turbo Weavile (Weavile / Lopunny)

You'd need to take level ball out too. I've been using Ultra Balls with Exeggcutes and they seem to work out just fine. Same goes for the Dark Patches. There is Baby-Yveltal, which I use to set up in mine. Seems to work ok. -2 Level Ball -2 Dark Patch +1 Ultra Ball +2 Baby Yveltal +1 Yveltal EX...

    The Next Rotation and Yveltal

The rotation is an annual thing that Pokemon Company International does to keep the game fresh, new, and exciting. What they do is they take out a few of the older sets in the format, removing them from play. That means that, say, a Level Ball from Next Destinies is no longer legal to be played...

    The Next Rotation

Mainly, I'd just be using Lucario EX for Screw Blow ( [F] 60 Damage: Draw cards until you have 6 cards in your hand). I like it since it's built in draw support and can help if you don't have a supporter in hand that turn (which I usually don't. Lolz). If I needed to, I could of course use...

Why Don't Most Competitive Players Bling Out Their Decks?

I hit a FA Juniper in a PLF pack the other day and traded a Golden Rare Mega Kangaskhan EX for FA Lysandre so I'm currently using both just 'cause I have them, but I wouldn't specifically order the FA's off eBay and whatnot. Cards are cards. If they do the same things and will eventually rotate...

    Xerneas / Fairies

Definitely take out the Cherens for the N's and Junipers.

    Xerneas / Fairies

If it's N's you're looking for, the Red Genesect Box includes 2 Copies of it, Juniper, and Skyla along with other assorted cards. If your main strategy is to spam X Blast by moving around bunches of Fairy energy, then you may want to play Max Potions to make your Xerneas EX harder to KO. You can...

RMT Over 9000: TFS Style - OR - Vegetasaur: Rise of the Saiyan Elite

RE: (OU) Over 9000: TFS Style - OR - Vegetasaur: Rise of the Saiyan Elite Not to burst any bubbles here, but I believe that Namek's supposed conquerer is spelled Frieza rather than Freeza. Not sure though so don't call me out on it haha.

Pokemon What Is Your Signature Pokémon?

For a while, it was Heracross. Then it turned into Seismitoad and Zoroark in Gen 5. Then, once Gen 6 hit and Megas were introduced, Lucario has been on my team for every playthrough of X and Y for me, along with the others.

    The Next Rotation

RE: Worried About Yveltal EX Post-Rotation Well, it's a good thing that I've been making all my recent decks with the mindset of post-rotation (BCR-on or PLS-on) with the exception of a few things i.e. Enhanced Hammers and the like. Really, besides Raichu, the only thing I'm really worried...

    The Next Rotation

Worried About Yveltal EX Post-Rotation Ok, so I'm pretty sure that the next rotation will probably be PLS-on so with Dedenne coming out and Raichu still being a thing, I'd like to try and update my Yveltal EX/Raichu deck to try and take out the newer decks that'll most likely focus around...

    The Next Rotation

Seismitoad EX is weak to Grass, just like it's in-game counterpart. Even still, VirGen will probably give Seismitoad EX some trouble since Emerald Slash can hit for 100 damage unboosted.

    Skarmory / Flygon

RE: Skarmory/Flygon Pardon, but why 3 Professor's Letter and 4 cards with switching effects? Skarmory BCR doesn't really do a lot to benefit this deck since it's attacks don't do high amounts of damage and one requires a coin flip. In my opinion, -2 Skarmory BCR -1 Switch -2 Professor's Letter...

Super Annoying Energy Discarding Deck! (Furfrou / Magnezone / Hammers)

The deck was played at a local tourney today and it held its own. Problems were that it didn't have enough damage output.

Odd / Silly Things You Used to Think

When I was small, I used to want to sell ice cream on Mars. Oh, and I also thought I could move things with my mind and run faster than my parents' car.

    Haxorus / Milotic

RE: Haxorus/Milotic You'll probably want to run N/Shauna and Colress for more draw support. Personally, I'd drop the Fan Clubs and Tiernos for 3 N/Shauna and 2 Colress. Hope this helps, LoneWolf2113

Fist Fight (Lucario EX / Landorus EX / Hawlucha / Medicham)

RE: Fist Fight (Lucario EX / Landorus EX) Stunfisk for the win! It's the poor man's Landorus EX lol.

Suggestions About Playing the Pokemon TCG Competitively?

I buy singles when I'm just trying to get the last several cards I need for a deck. Boxes are for when new sets come out. Plus, you don't have to qualify for anything but Worlds.

    Counter That Deck

RE: Counter That Deck! Leafeon/Garbodor/Megaphone/Tropical Beach Leafeon takes OHKOs on Keldeo EX while Garbodor cancels Inimidating Mane, Archeops' ability, Inferno Fandango, and Rush In. Megaphone gets rid of Float Stone. Beach discards Twist Mountain.
