‘Bandit Ring’ Booster Box Revealed; Whimsicott, Gardevoir in Set [4/19]

I would complain about yet more Gardevoir so soon, but it's really nice artwork and I like Gardevoir, so meh. :p Hopefully we'll start getting some leaks soon.

I wonder if Cottonee, Whimsicott, Ralts, Kirlia and Gardevoir will make their Fairy type debuts....

...okay, collecting this set if the artwork is just like Gardevoir, holy heck that looks beautiful.

Small edit: the colouring on the package art from the day before and today is off. The box art is much more saturated so I'm not sure if that Gardevoir will be as vibrant, however, one can hope.

I for one am okay with Gardevoir showing up again, especially if the line is the first ever non EX Fairy version of it. Whimsicott line being fairy for the first time would be great too.

Hoopa Unbound looks so much creepier in drawn art. Its 3D model in the games just looks goofy. The Mega Aggron effect!

I could see a Gardevoir in every set and not complain, so the inclusion of yet another is completely fine with me. =p

We've had more Talonflame stuff in XY to date than Gardevoir stuff. Half of the sets to be precise. Plus I think one extra of Fletchling and Fletchinder.

Talonflame kind of had to appear a lot, though. Its line and the Pyroar line are the only Gen 6 Fire types they could freely add to stuff. (They've been grouping starters together lately, so Delphox isn't as easily added.) This happens pretty frequently in about the first half of each block, especially for small types like Fire, Lightning and Darkness. (Look at how many Scrafty we got in Black/White sets.)

Granted. My point though is it's hard to diss a Gardevoir line after Primal Clash when we have so many repeats of other Pokémon, regardless of the circumstances. After all, the Gardevoir line, the Whimsicott line, and Arceus are the only Pokémon not to be be fairy types in tcg now that the Togekiss line is coming out in Roaring Skies.

In some ways, it's a shame we get so many powerful Fairy types because it kinda makes all the dragon type cards they keep releasing irrelevant.

That's true, though it wouldn't be such a blow if dragons were weak to other things besides fairy. Have some of them keep their dragon weaknesses. Some of them like Flygon and Salamence could even be water (ice) weak. I mean they need two different energies, excluding colorless, to attack so why not vary their weaknesses a little?

Though as much as we hope that the Gardevoir line and Whimsicott line are fairy, we don't know that they will be yet.
