‘Phantom Gate’ Pokemon-EX, Mystery Energy, AZ, Spirit Link Card, and More Revealed! [8/11]

No one has mentioned it, but there is another card in the Gengar Poster image.
A psychic Poke with a [P][C][C] Attack, an Ability, and 1-2 Retreat. They properly covered the upper-left corner so we can't see if it is an evo or not.
 
Opinions:
Why release Team Flare cards after already realeasing Lysandre and Team Flare Grunt? Seems a little late with the release of OR/AS coming up.
Love the art of both Gengars, but I can only see genger EX having some potential with its second attack.
For Dialga EX, chrono wind is ok, but not good enough to be in Klinklang, but Aegislash totally fits that bill. The ability and attack are really good.
...I feel that pokemon wanted this crobat line to be like crobat G, but failed.
OMG that ditto pika is co cute! But attaching an energy to yourself for a colorless kind of sucks.
I've already stated my opinion of dimensional valley in another thread.
AZ is pretty bad. I can only see it as a replacement for cassius in Aromatisse, but that deck will be not as good next format.
Lastly, Mystery Energy is bad. Switching cards are better because they get you out of locks.
 
Mmm, just noticed, that Flare-thingy.. is a Tool card!
From the text in it, the card doesn't seem to be a "G-Scope" kind of tool (I really liked old TM cards back in the day). But I agree, why make Flare-Red-Bordered cards now when there are some already out there? I think we won't see something like Plasma cards, so this one must do something really special.
 
I am getting my Mewtwos now because it seems I will just be playing Mewtwo and Friends when this set comes out. I don't know if I would play M Gengar, but maybe a 1-1-1 line a crobat would be fun. Crobat reminds me a lot of Crobat G except somewhat worse.
 
I tried to get, what's the Flare card's name, but I probably failed.
If I read correctly, it's ヘッドノイダー, although the last kana is badly readable, so it may be either ワ (with umlaut) ブ or ヴ, but: ワwith umlaut doesn't exist in japanes, so it can't be. The rest is probable…
If rewritten to english it is either heddo noidā, heddo noivū or heddo noibū, so something with head. But eneglish isn't my native, so I don't know any word in english, that sound like noibū, noibū or noidā…

As for the [P][C][C] psychic type attacker with Ability, I assume it's some kind of evolution, because only few non-EX basic Pokémon has so expensive attacks.

Ermmm.. AZ returns all the pre-evolutions in your hand, so you can't evolve Crobat unless you have other Golbat(s) in your field..

P.s. I don't see the "Team Plasma" logo under the card name bar, as the Team Plasma cards had.
 
You can do some early free damage in the game with AZ and Crobat line.

I would've liked them to show at least cards of other types in this set in this preview/update but we only got metal and colourless Ditto. I have a feeling that along with Manectric EX and Mega we will also get Tyraniter EX in this set as well.

Also I don't get why they make an 'ultra rare' version of a Mega card with Gold colours instead of making a full art Mega card, that would've been so much better.
 
I've gotta say, I'm pretty hyped about these cards. Continuing the type-specific special energy trend is particularly pleasing to me. If they include another one in this set, would it be Lightning (since our precedent in Furious Fists had corresponding special energies to the Mega Pokemon-EX)?

The Zubat line looks really fun to play with and would really suit my playstyle. I hope there is a way to make them viable! AZ is a disappointment as a Supporter card but maybe he'll come with some nice full-art (with a Floette in it, even?).

As for this Team Flare card... I'm wondering if it's going to be along the lines of "Team Flare's Invention" or something like that. We also have yet to see any of these rumored Trainer cards that will change the way Mega evolution is played.

Why the *ell all of you ar obsessed with that Tyrantrum mania? Is Aurorus not good, too or what? I tell you: no gen VI EXs will be made in next few set other then maybe pseudo-legendary or legendary and Tyrantrum isn't neither one of it.
 
Hell YEAH at last Team Flare cards, but my question is why now? I mean this set should be coming out in November in the US so three months from that would be February which will align with when XY came out so it would make some sense to release a Hoen set also according to the rumors the next set after this will be a Hoen set. So are team Flare cards not even gonna get their own set and just a little bit of shine in this set? If that's so that just makes me sad.

Also seriously AZ gets such suckish effect I was expecting something good since he is so epic and such an important character in the game.

Loving Gengar and Mega Gengar's Artwork the Psychedelic "JellyBeans" go so well with him.

I wrote Tyranitar EX (missplet it with e instead of a) not Tyrantrum EX.

Now that I think about it, maybe I too posted the initial post too early. Ofcourse if they have the Ex Tyranitar they will also need to release its mega evolution as well, and I don't think that will happen in this set.
 
I love that there is now a decent mega, hoping manectric EX will be strong.....

Also I am still waiting for a set with smeargle that allows any move be copied and any ability be copied..;.anyone with me?
 
All this means to me is that I want my sexy new FAs more than ever. and that the 100hit per turn invincible steel of dreams team has been revived. Praise the [insert base god here]. Thank you for supplying so many delicious special energies to cripple everyones decks TCPi.

If theres anything that I love about pokemon its FAs and decks that win half the time but while you are winning the other guys just like, darn! Its their turn to get rekted dangit! Although cant forget about our lovely cobalions, gonna need 1 or 2 for mirror matches and and all the anti ex going around. Also need a suicune or something. and of course poison is still a thing. The dance of a thousand metas still goes strong HAhahaha.
 
These new cards look very interesting. I think Mega Gengar will be pretty cool with dimension valley and hopefully it will see play :D
Also the new Golbat and Crobat look cool, reminds me of Crobat G :p
 
I wonder what's special about flare cards.
I wonder if maybe they can be used during your opponents turn or something like that. The name flare would kinda suit that. And it isn't like it has never been done before (there was a trainer around the platinum sets which you could use to cancel use of a power)
Or if they just simply are same as any other team cards standard except the have the flare tag for referencing I. Other cards/attacks
 
I think AZ is really a good card and spot on.
He is depicting the "Wandering Jew", he is seeking the revival of Jesus and forgivness for mocking Jesus.

So he like a "Seeker" (yeah refering to the card) and someone who is wandering the lands for something.

I don't know what you else wanted...?
A supporter that says "search you deck for any card. Put it on top of your deck." ?
