The odds of drawing a Mewtwo, two Ralts, two Gardevoir, and two Rare Candy by turn 2 are extremely low.Rare candy being a copy and paste from the regular tcg seems overpowered. Getting two gardevoirs to power up a fully powered Mewtwo turn 2 seems really busted
Pocket has NO evolution searching, and no deck searching.....don't worryRare candy being a copy and paste from the regular tcg seems overpowered. Getting two gardevoirs to power up a fully powered Mewtwo turn 2 seems really busted
But it’s a digital card lol. Almost same as not getting anythingAs a soul bound rayquaza fan, this is a dream come true. After 5 years I can finally rest easy knowing we got a new rayquaza card in 2025....
and make it double!
You're one of those people who claim "artificial scarcity" whenever Nintendo consoles sell out, aren't you?I'll believe they intend to satisfy their physical market when they start doing it.
We had toilet paper shortages and normal printing paper became like 50 % more expensive in Europe in 2022. So although I don't think paper is or should be the problem, it can be.If it ain't 'expensive cardboard, then it don't make sense![]()
You mean the immersive Card? I think it’s among the worst. It’s just a big artwork slapped on a card. The Mewtwo from GoTR is also better than the pocket card - by far. Ho-oh is also very nice. Non of the cards you mentioned looks bad, they may are just not what you want them to be. I personally dislike those action cards a lot. That does not make them bad artworks.Looks like Pokémon hates us. They literally gave the best Charizard card of all time to Pocket, and now are also giving a great Lillie to Pocket
Meanwhile we got this absolute GARBAGE Mewtwo SAR, and extremely underwhelming Ho-Oh
The last jaw dropping physical card for me was the Bubble Mew. It's starting to be a while. They've had multiple occasions to give us amazing cards, and have unfortunately dropped the ball more often than not in my opinion
They better not fumble the Mega Charizard X ...
That’s what has had me worried. The player who finds rare candy first probably wins. I know I shouldn’t worry because I’ll still enjoy the game immensely but it can be a bit imbalanced.Pocket has NO evolution searching, and no deck searching.....don't worry

you never seen emotionless then. The perspective and coloration of the Metwo evokes what is intended: menacing. I can see why people think it’s plain, since the placing of Giovanni in it is quite weird. Also it is far from the best Mewtwo out there, yes. it still carries exactly that emotion tho. Same for the Ho-Oh. It is a card that shall evoke freedom and happiness. It is just not intended to show a fierce beast, which Ho-oh isn’t to begin with. Calling it no artistry is also a very uneducated term to describe your stance. You can find it boring, but the illustration is very well executed in both cards - not only those difficult perspectives but also the color choice. I hate to play the “I studied art and illustration” card, but I did. Maybe you should find better wording for what exactly you dislike instead of calling it plainly bad.We clearly disagree on what's a great card or not, that's ok. I think many people in the community share my sentiment. To me the Mewtwo and the Ho-Oh are some of the most stale SAR there is out there. No artistry. No emotion. The Pokémon is just there. Two emotionless stances.
Big artwork slapped on a card? You mean like all SAR?
I just looked at the last few sets card lists, I may have exaggerated. We've had good cards, but my disappointment in Mewtwo and Ho-Oh is immense sadly

The Charizard you showed is nothing special either. The whole illustration maybe good, but the crop of the card is quite bad. Moreover this card has less artistic value if you want to throw this into the ring. It has no distinction in art style from most anime on TV. Bringing up that term and than choosing what is the simplest art style in anime possible doesn’t make a good point. The card itself has been done better in the TCG before - one was in Crown Zenith.
Lastly, “most people would agree” is never a good point to make in pop culture. History showed that the majority of people has no good taste in anything at all and is drawn to the safest solution possible. Hence why the worst pop songs are often the most famous ones.
