Oh I’m getting wrecked by big fancy streamlined decks - I have a dark deck that’s pretty solid but I can only see this getting worse if they don’t keep the cards truly balanced and obtainable — like if you’re opponent can power up immediately and heals (lapras/Vsaur) or just can do 90 damage on their turn 2-3 (pika) it’s pretty hard to counter “blind” but still fun never the less !

Yeah it's a great feeling when you take out a strong Moltres ex or Mewtwo ex deck with your basic darkness deck you put together in a couple of minutes. Then you are brought back to reality when you get destroyed by turn 3 with a crazy Starmie ex or Articuno ex deck 😂

The game feels wildly unbalanced at this point and you are not getting anything for losing games, not even some Exp or anything.
Makes it not worth the hassle to play against other players, if not for this event.
Also cards like Misty can win games T1 if you manage to flip 2 heads with a Lapras Ex or Articuno Ex for example.
In general this game is okayish but lacks a lot to be really fun. Mostly a more reliable way to gather cards.

If they wanted anyone but whales to care about the rewards for winning, they should have included pack/wonder pick hourglasses for those, instead of... shine dust. Well I guess that's the point, to get enough F2P cannon fodder into versus to please the whales. All that said, you can beat the whales as F2P, at least in the current set if you re-roll'd enough and/or had some luck with pulls... certainly not as F2P friendly as PTCGL though.

The game is new. Chill. And the main focus is still collecting. So yeah.

We need energy denial. Energy removal was bad in the original TCG because of Mana Drought, but that's not a problem here. I've got a couple of solutions

Energy Removal 2 - same as TCG

Energy Blocker
If it is Turn 3 or later, your opponent's energy zone doesn't generate next turn.

Additionally some Dark Vileplumes or Garbodors would be a treat.

Hard to imagine them changing anything regarding how much stuff we get, when consumers are throwing them the amount of money that they're doing right now. The only thing that is truly worrying me right now is the event promos. I have a bunch of the other ones, but still no second Lapras. Let's say the event ends, I'm now depending on the good will of people to trade the card with me or else I'm locked out of a game piece forever? That's just unacceptable.

Yeah it would be great if pretty much everything was playable.

It doesn't help that only one type has strong and "consistent" acceleration, being psychic... kinda like Rain Dance back in the Base Set days, except water in that case didn't have a Mewtwo ex caliber attacker and had to deal with Gust of Wind picking off their Squirtles (where as Sabrina & Pidgeot are easy to play around). Probably when we get new sets with more acceleration options for the other types will there finally be more deck diversity.

On another note, I tried thinking of a theoretical really annoying deck that doesn't need acceleration and came up with Dugtrio + Hypo and/or Greninja, but it also lives and dies by the coin flips like water does right now with Misty.
