“Mega Brave” and “Mega Symphonia” Sets Trademarked for the Pokemon TCG, Hinting at Mega Evolutions?

Loppunny, Abomasnow, Pinsir, Medicham and Sableye are the only missing Megas? (Not counting Tag Teams)

Cant expect they skip Pokemons like Charizard X and Y (And Z, yes we all know Charizard Z is coming...) but I hope the missing ones get priority over the rest, give me an Abomasnow that also becomes meta

we also technically never got standard coloration (non-shiny) megas for gyarados, steelix, or metagross! would be interesting to see if we ever get those (not that we really need them since the shinies are so cool! all my hopes and dreams are on mega pinsir and mega FLYGON....)

Interested to see how megas work this time, as a (casual) kid I really was not a fan of the mega cards. When I pulled M Heracross I was excited to use it with my uncommon single prize Heracrosses, but of course only a Heracross EX could evolve into it. It was just as hard to pull EX cards as it was to pull M EX cards (at least it felt that way), so for every 5 Megas I pulled I could only use 1 or 2 of them. Not to mention, spirit links were uncommons, so if you were opening packs, you were going to get multiple useless playsets of Aggron Spirit Links before you got even a 1-1 line of Aggron EX and M Aggron.

Completely burnt me out by the time Fates Collide rolled around, so I missed out on most of the SM era, which is pretty unfortunate. I sincerely hope that these new Mega cards function similarly to LV.X / Break.

The only thing I'm wondering about is how do they implement Mega Evolution with a true stage evolution mechanic? In the X&Y Era, EX were Basic Ruleboxes much like V, so those types of cards having one stage up was fine, but since we're in the Scarlet & Violet era where ex's can be as high as Stage 2, this indicates that cards like Mega Charizard X/Y will be a sort of Stage 3 ex while Mewtwo is a Stage 1, which might have strange or dangerous implications, since applying it directly on top of Charizard ex would allow you to use Burning Darkness thanks to Relicanth, unless the rule only allowed single-prize versions to be able to place the Mega ex's on top.

Oh yeah that reminded me M Steelix is one of the best and we only got the ugly shiny one

I think that Pokemon's going to release the Mega sets in 2026. It wouldn't make too much sense for them not too. Although, while they did imply the main focus of the H block would be Paradox Pokemon, the focus ended up shifting towards Stellar Tera Pokemon in the second half. But at the same time, I don't feel like it would make much sense for them to tease a big focus on Trainer's Pokemon in the I block and then have the final two sets make them take a backseat for Mega Evolutions.

Also, my biggest hope for the return of Megas is that they have them play more in the style of Pokemon Level X and Pokemon BREAK than how they did in the XY era. God, can you imagine a Mega Charizard ex with how the game currently is?
We're likely to get 4 or evn 5 just like PLA sets, with Brilliant Stars to Lost Origin. It would make sense too, if ZA comes out in August, there's room for 4-5 Mega sets from August 2025 to November 2026 for a suspected Gen 10 game.
