It’s mainly a collection game with a quick fight option. I don’t know why people are so obsessed with deck building when it is clearly not it’s focus - which was clear from the beginning.Pocket reminded me how lucky we are that Live makes it so easy get any card you need. Pocket is pretty fun but I’m already starting to get bored of it because I’ve only been able to make one deck with my pulls and I can’t try anything else because I simply don’t have the cards.
See, I'm not the only one that thinks that's one of the things Live got right. Unbelievable that they thought the current pack point system would be an acceptable substitute. Imagine if in Legends Arceus you could only make progress towards completeing an individual mon's dex by catching it 20 times instead of the varied options. That's basically what pack points doesThis depends how long they keep a set in circulation. Will they phase out the current one for another or keep it and the items associated to it forever in the app? If it is seasonal, then the current rate is horrible due to the RNG of the packs. Can't even turn in duplicates for the currency used to buy a specific copy of a card which would be a big change in the right direction.
It's still a game. Like, don't downplay the fact that it's still a playable game that people play just because you can also open packs. We are not doing that, man, it's 2024 and I'm BEGGING us Pokemon fans to think more critically...It’s mainly a collection game with a quick fight option. I don’t know why people are so obsessed with deck building when it is clearly not it’s focus - which was clear from the beginning.
Its a f2p mobile game, it's intentionally designed to be frustrating for people who don't spend money and addictive for people who do, there's nothing to fix here. They have to improve that pack hourglass thing. I can't purchase the non-Monthly one after I maxed out the limit and the cooldown for boosters is so darn slow. Pain for F2P who wants to keep up with the metagame
