“Prismatic Evolutions” Pull Rates Revealed, Special Illustration Rares Twice as Easy to Pull!

Surprisingly my $40 ETB preorder arrived yesterday, pulled a gold Pikachu, 1 full art Friends in Paldea, one Ace Spec, 3 reverse Pokeballs and 1 holo Energy (does anyone know the hit rate on those?) so overall I'm very relieved after the initial pull rate reports

They’re harder in general because the graph doesn’t account for god packs.

Yea Danny phantump accounted for that. His estimation was around 1/60 packs.

The results for me have been fair out of 62 packs but I benefited from a demi-god pack. Otherwise I would've just had 1 SAR. Here are my hits:

Ace Spec - 2
Pokeball Reverse Holo - 23
Masterball Reverse Holo - 4 including Umbreon!
Regular EX - 9
SR Trainers - 4
SAR - 4 (Flareon, Iron Crown, Terapagos, Pecharunt)

Definitely tough set to pull. I'll buy more when I can but at MSRP. I refuse to pay scalper prices. Back to the cave I go Good luck to everyone on your pulls!

Yeah those prices have plummeted. Im so happy about the current state of playables . Ive never had so many poffins and and night stretchers before. Definitely the best thing about this set! The eeveelution ex's are all pretty interesting and playable , i have a feeling they will reprint those a bunch in tins and collection boxes like they did with the eeveelution v collection box a few years ago and there are already those reprints in the surprise boxes . Someday im sure i will pick upsome of those S.I.R.s in a year or two but i Definitely will be trying for a master set of Tera fest since it is a fraction of the cost of prismatic

1200 isn’t enough to get an accurate pull rate really. 1200 packs /45 is about 27 sir cards pulled. If they pulled even 1 god pack that means they only pulled sir cards from 19 packs, and the pull rates go to 1/63.

Interesting, given I've opened 10 ETB's and didn't get 1 SIR, can I expect my 2 in the mail?

Last time I looked at Prime Catcher’s price it dropped significantly due to the Charizard ex League Battle Deck released, this just seemed to have put the idea of Prime Cather carrying a double-digit price tag into the grave.

I disagree with these pull rates for the SIRs in TCGplayers data. I think Danny Phantump's video is more accurate. This sample size is too small and if they pulled a god pack and counted all the SIRs in the pack this will skew the results. I think it's actually much harder to pull an SIR than these data suggest.

These are normal set pull rates, not the special set pull rates which are typically much higher.

Special sets are supposed to be fun!

Opened nearly 75 packs and only 1 SIR and 3 Trainer Ultra Rares 3 master balls - so ummm NOT GREAT! I did get 25 pokeballs 1/3 — 6 Ace 1/12 — 13 ex 1/6 but really a wild way to expect ANYONE to rip all the secret rares - was really expecting CZ rates … it’ll be weird if they adjust the hit rates and people will be like “wave 2 ETB” and try to charge even more for things - just kinda of settling into the fact that this will be the first set of SV era that I can ABSOLUTELY NOT master really just hoping to even get the next few products at all - I know that desert art eevee box will be impossible and I’m already pre-bummed that I’ll likely have holes in my promo binder too for the Umbreon ex / espeon ex boxes they haven’t even released images of yet
