I'm loving all of the full art trainer cards and their SIR counterparts! That Team Ariana SIR reminds me of the Parasol Lady and Briar SIRs.
That Raticate card is also a need - I love arts that showcase the same pokemon 100 times on one card, and this card makes them look so cute!

For all the people complaining about the IRs. Every single SIR is a mainstay Team Rocket art. Happy now? Lol

ART RARES~
Spidops: Looks comic book like, love it!
Houndoom: The illustration is nice, but mostly for Houndoom's pose.
Blaziken: Not a huge fan of this one, but will reserve more judgement for when we get digital scans.
Clamperl: Beautiful.
Wobbuffet: Vibrant, and love the addition of the grunts!
Orbeetle: Not a big fan of this one, not so much the art style but the size, when this is released as an actual card it will be as small a feature as Drowzee or Sudowoodoo from earlier SV sets.
Weezing: Nice, Weezing sticks out like a sore thumb in a good way
Murkrow: Amazing use of Murkrow interacting with her trainer!
Zamazenta: It's okay, but knowing Zacian is out there but not really available irks me.
Raticate: Meh, the drawing looks awful. A shame too, as this would be our first Raticate featured so prominently.
Meowth: Derpy as, but I like it.
Kangaskhan: If Quaqsire wasn't in it, I would give this one a miss.
FA TRAINERS~
Ariana: Great pose, great illustration.
Archer: Okay pose, amazing illustration.
Giovanni: Amazing pose, amazing illustration.
Petrel: Meh.
Proton: A waste of Naoki Saito.
SPECIAL ART RARES~
Moltres: Really don't like this one, AKIRA EGAWA back at it again at really drawing what I consider to be awful cards.
Mewtwo: Intimidating pose, nice shading, not the best mewtwo card out there, not the worst.
Nidoking: Amazing, couldn't have asked for a better one.
Crobat: My favourite card of the set, just all around freaking awesome!
Ariana: Lack of Murkrow on her shoulder you shmucks!
Giovanni: A really awesome overview of Gen 2 rocket, pretty awesome!
Mewtwo SIR is disappointing, was hoping for an armored mewtwo or something, still a lot of sick arts though should be a fun set.
Eek this set is a letdown considering the top tier pocket art they’re putting out
Because Steven and Marnie’s Pokemon are included in Destined Rivals, and every Trainer’s ex Pokemon gets an SAR, so why shouldn’t they??
There are some decent art rares here but the same was said of Journey Together, I assume that Destined Rivals will probably end up in the boat pending any amazing screw-ups by TPCi regarding production.
Armored Mewtwo is an anime-only thing, expecting Creatures Inc. to incorporate that into a set that clearly takes its design cues from the games is asking a bit much.
That’s only for international sets (and even then I’m not 100% sure the numbers we’ve been given allow for SAR Marnie’s Pokémon and Steven’s Pokémon to be included in the set proper), in Japan they’re part of the ex Starter Set decks that are considered two separate products with one Illustration Rare print of either Marnie’s Morpeko or Steven’s Beldum and we’re getting a similar product internationally.
As the Binder guy said - they are Not Part of a set. They are special Products. They arent even in Destined Rivals? How come you think that? We also get the two Decks seperatly from the set.

Yea, that’s what had me hoping for SAR Metagross!
I know they’re deck-only in Japan, but we are getting their Pokemon too in Destined Rivals according to the set abbrevs on the bottom left. That’s a lot of cards to squeeze into one set!
Knowing now that Metagross SAR is less likely is kinda disappointing, but oh well, at least I know now I don’t have to financially plan for it.
