(1) ‘CoroCoro’ Leaks, Confirms Mewtwo’s New Forme [4/12]

ehhh... It's a new forme... It's Okay... I still think it was unnecessary... I like it more than the original Mewtwo but they probably made it just because of the movie and don't really have an excuse for it...
If now it's okay to give older pokémon new formes after a long time, now I want a Lugia forme that looks more like a dragon (because of its ryujin basis)... just kidding...
But I think they should make the complete original dragon. After seeing that they only made 2 incomplete formes for kyurem, I started thinking they would save the complete dragon for gen 6...

I completely agree

If there was also one for Mew, this one would make more sense! O:

It would mean that Mew had some awakened form and Mewtwo merely inherited that.

Does this new form kinda reminds anyone else of Sonic the Hedgehog??
In itself i really like the new form, just curious how they are going to justify its existance qua story. It seems interesting.

Speculation:

Because Mewtwo finally accepts that he is very much like non-cloned pokémon he gains the ability to change into his true form ( a nicer looking and therefore better reflection of Mew).

So, any other suggestions??

Yeah, I was thinking somewhat similarly. He'll probably find his reason for existing and finally accept his place in the world. (Good for him, lol.) Given that probably isn't going to influence the plot a heck of a lot (though the opposite may happen, with the events of the movie causing his change), I wonder exactly how it will play out.

Also, I agree with everyone saying the new forme looks younger than current Mewtwo... Perhaps he lightens up a little from the rather serious Pokemon he currently is and that is reflected in his new forme? (He did have to grow up rather quickly in harsh conditions, after all.)

Looks terrible.

I think anyone who has been with Pokemon from the beginning will agree.

more like anyone who comes under the term 'Genwunner' will agree

I actually quite like it. I hope it has a good backstory/explanation, because Mewtwo already has a strong backstory.

Im on the fence, to tell the truth. It looks cool and everything, but why Mewtwo? As I have ranted and raved many times before, why not yet ANOTHER new form for Deoxys? I mean, he is the DNA Pokemon. I'll still get it in the games though :D

Deoxy's formes each have stats they excel in, with a forme for each one. So unless they think of something good, I can't really see any more happening (unless they have one focusing on both physical stats and one focusing on both special stats, but I can't see that happening tbh)

Maybe Groudon & Kyogre will get new formes too for the Gen 3 "enhanced" remakes. I mean, why not right?

I know a bunch of people in RL who've been with pokemon from the beginning, none of them agree with you, including myself.

I'm not a genwunner, and I will admit I agree. Why does Mewtwo need a new forme after 5 genetations?

It doesn't look terrible. My only problem is that I don't like them messing with something as classic as mewtwo. Imagine if Pikachu got a new forme.

He did get a new forme. It's called Raichu.

Kidding, kidding.

I still think the tail moving to the head is weird. They better explain why that happens.

Mewtwo wanted a hat.

Not all people who started in Gen 1 dislike it.

The tail moving to the head seems to increase brain capacity (special attack) and it decreases drag (increased speed).

It seems more like Mewtwo escaped before it was supposed to. What is the Mewtwo that we have all known for all of these years was incomplete and this new forme is more complete?

I've been thinking about that... Having more cranium space will probably reforce its psychic powers, and as such, I think it will have more Sp. Atk than normal Mewtwo...
As for Speed, I'm not sure, though it looks more agile...

Newtwo's "tail" seems like a logical extension of the secondary spinal cord on original-recipe Mewtwo to me, as well as making it more aerodynamic.

I'm not sure who is more annoying people hating on this forme or people hating on the people who hate the forme. Probably the people hating on the forme because they just sound like a broken record.

I was slightly disappointed that it was a forme, but whatever, I still like the design and I'm actually really excited for the movie.
