So what do you think would cause it to evolve? That's just something I was pointing out I didn't actually say that would cause it to evolve.

It'd have be an entirely new method. I do recall reading a couple years back that whenever old Pokemon get new evolutions the evolution methods are always 100% new method be it with a new item, new game mechanic, whatnot. So if Eevee does evolve we won't know its method till it happens. It won't be a move, it won't be an already existing hold item, etc.

I think that if there were to be a normal type eeveelution, the most logic would be for eevee to evolve simply by level. (30?) Maybe level and holding a new item. Think of the normal evolution being eevees true evolution if it didn't have the need to "adapt" to so many different environments.
I'm almost wondering if eevee having a normal evolution is even a good idea, though. It would almost completely toss poor eevee out of being included in the eeveelutions at all, since there would be no need for an extra normal representative. :c

However, I would personally LOVE to see a ghost and flying type eevee. Maybe even bug. New ways of evolution? There could even be new future minigames or a new kind of pokemon contest/musical that they could somehow incorporate evolution into, maybe they could bring berries back into the game more and have a way of evolution somehow with those, or maybe even eeveelutions that evolve with trade + a new hold item. The possibilities are endless with Pokemon, just have to be creative!

I hope the upcoming announcement isn't about Generation 6 being the first ever Pokemon MMORPG where it's not backwards compatible with the DS games of previous Generations thus killing the Pokemon video game franchise for good, although it seems like it could very well be the R/S/E Remakes for Generation 5 or it could finally be a Colosseum/Stadium/PBR-esque Gen 5 game that Nintendo/Game Freak have been neglecting since the debut of Generation 5.

One of my good friends told me of some inside information about the upcoming announcement saying that there are some specific hidden items in the new Black and White 2 games originally from Generation 3 that are no where to be found in all of the Generation 4 games that is either in the game itself or was hacked to find it. Also the original Gym Leaders from Hoenn appear in Black and White 2 as well as the Hoenn Legendaries appearing as EX cards that are Modified legal, coincidence? I think not.

Gen 6 games not being backwards compatible would be a mistake because the last games of Gen 5 are so recent

About the eeveelutions' evolving methods, they could just create new items and make eevee evolve by trading or leveling up while holding them

I've been begging for a Dragon type Eeveelution myself. XD Though, admittingly that's from pure bias since I love dragons. >_>;

Hi Pokémon-Fans out there!
I'm not telling you my name, but you can trust my information. I was authorized to write the story for previous games (Platinum, Black 2) and the upcoming game's story will also be wrote by me. Now I will give you some information which will be confirmed once the game is anounced.
Don't believe in all the rumors about a upcoming spin-off or WiiU title. As far as I know, Ambrella is working on a WiiU game which is quite similar to Pokepark, but I don't know that much about it yet. The game which will be revealed on January 8th will be for the Nintendo 3DS and will be released in two different versions (like the previous games), and the names are "Pokémon Indigo" and "Pokémon Crimson", which sound strange in the first moment. It's the 6th Generation of Pokemon, and it's a totally new game AND a remake combined! Your game will start in the new region called "Omla" which is like Isshu a bit more "futuristic". So there are planes, helicopters, trains and more. But after finishing the game (8 gyms like always, but there is a dojo which is similar to the one in Blue/red) and one time before, you will be able to travel trough hoenn, too! 20 years were gone since the charakters from ruby and saphire travelled through the region. I don't want to spoil too much, but many things changed because the entotsu-chama (volcan) erupted and many citys like Fuen Town are gone but there are new cities like "Yume town", which is all about the dreamworld. And yes, the dreamworld will be continued in the future but it's extended.
There will be 107 new pokemon, but you will be able to catch the older ones, too. In my opinion, the new pokemon don't look as bad as the 5th Gen Pokemon, but you will be able to make your own opinion next week because in the next Pokemon Smash episode, morimoto will appear again and as far as I know, he will show about 10 of the new pokemon.
There will also be new forms of older pokemons, like "wild" forms of Groudon and Kyogre. These Pokemon will also be a big part of the new game.
There won't be a new pokemon type like digital or whatever people are talking about, but Groudon will get the fire type in his wild form and Kyogre will get the Psychic type, too, so they are ground/fire and water/psychic.

Maybe I will post some more informations later this day.

/sigh, if this is right, I dunno how to react...

This sounds intresting...

I definitely would take that with a grain of salt becuse anyone can make an account and make up a story, but if it were to be true I guess it would be interesting. Reminds me of how Gen 2 was to Gen 1.
But where is your proof JustHelpingYou?

A real employee wouldn't tell us his position as his bosses would easily identify him. xP

Thank you for the information (hope it is true!). 10 Pokemon for 1 episode of Pokemon Smash? That is fast for revealing compared to the last Gen. Indigo and Crimson sound good (but they are not what I wanted :'().

If you are legit I freaking love you. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much. That sounds amazing.
If it isn't real I hate you. You would've gotten my hopes up for nothing.

I'd love if these were to be true çç

Most of it sounds legit, but showing off 10 new pokémon at once? That doesn't make much sense. They usually show silhouettes first, then to reveal on the following week so the show can keep a good audience. And 10 pokémon at once are usually shown in CoroCoro.

"also be wrote by me"

There goes any credibility this guy had!

^ I'm pretty sure this isn't true, I watched pokemon smash yesterday and they didn't reveal anything. Not only that but this guy made a lot of spelling errors. the 6th gen is looking more likely though (to me at least...) all we can really do is wait.

Just so everyone knows, never in the history of the fandom has any English speaker ever revealed a new Pokemon game title, let alone on a fan site's forums. That is just lol. Does he really think we're that stupid?

It's probably some 30 year old dude sitting in his mom's basement just trolling around. He's probably laughing at those of us that believe him while eating some mac & cheese. I say we ignore him and eat some mac & cheese ourselves.

On a somewhat relate note, I am actually believing this is Gen 6 more than Gen 3 remakes.

i'm leaning more towards the Gen 6 camp than the R/S remake side, a quick lookup of pokemoncrimson.com quotes "This Internet address is being managed by Melbourne IT DBS for one of the world's top brands'

I'm not sure, but I guess they're showing gameplay material of the intro screen (wild kyogre/wild groudon), the new start pokemon (fire, water, grass again), and some pokemon fight gameplay. There will also be 2 new eevee evolutions (ground (クラック = Kurrakyo) and bug (光合成 = Kōgōseina). You will be able to get Eevee very early in the game.
The release of the game will be in june, july or august, so there isn't that much time to reveal information slowly.

As you probably noticed, my English isn't that good. I'm japanese and I don't need to speak or write English at work at all. I'm sorry for my bad English.
If you don't want to believe me, wait 2 days, and we'll see. ;)

i think the only way any of us are gonna beleive you, is if you post a picture/ 'Blurry shot' of a new pokemon, or the game logos or something related to the announcement.

What credibility do you have? Why should we believe you? I'm sorry but anyone can just make up information and make it sound legit.

Haha, I don't think someone who works for Gamefreak would complain about the design of the pokémon xD But oh well, I still love reading rumours like these even if I know probably 99% of them are wrong ^^
