(1) Basic Rules for 2011's Video Game Championship Series [1/27]

Still pumped for being in Seniors this year! Hopefully I can win Regionals this year after coming 4th two years...

the asian kid in seniors who used Misa Room (With a Shiny Abomasnow, Dialga, and Smeragle)

I finished 4th after losing when my Blizzard missed both of my opponent's Pokemon during Top 4.

@Rival

Ah. Nevermind then. I was in juniors. You going to go this year if its in the area?

I also had a little asian brother who finished 3rd with Kyogre Hitmontop in Juniors though haha, he was the smallest there by far.

And yeah, for sure.

Yeah, i saw your brother. He beat my friend in T4. I lost in T26. Yeah, im also gonna be there this year. Here's a question: What time did you get there and did everyone get in?

Hooray. Finally some confirmation on the rules. With only Unova pokemon being eligible, it does make for an interest meta.

I knew the rules would be the same as in Japan, way to alienate your own fanbase PUSA. I guess these rules don't include 4th Gen Pokemon with Dream World Abilities right, so no Drizzle Politoed and Drought Ninetales? The fact that they've banned all the Generation IV Pokemon for this year's VGC's is just stupid. All that effort to migrate Pokemon from the Gen IV game's and PUSA and Game Freak pulls this junk on us. I can already see half of the video game players who play Pokemon boycotting this event, probably for Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo, or even World of Warcraft.

What I think is funny is what was the point of Nintendo and Game Freak allowing players to migrate Gen IV Pokemon from Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver onto Black & White with the PokeShifter just to be denied of using them because of the new VGC Rules? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of migrating then? That's the dumbest move ever. They could've just separated the VGC event into 2 formats, one with Unova Region Pokemon ONLY and the other format with Gen IV and Gen V Pokemon combined.

I'm so ready for locations. I've never been able to compete. I need to this year somewhere.

It seems interesting only being able to use gen 5 pokemon. I've never competed before but i want to this year. I wonder how i will do. What's it like at these competitions?
