(1) Blissey from 'Dark Explorers' Revealed! [4/19]

Hi. Have a once-per-turn flippy potion.

Too bad the retreat cost...is TOO [removed] HIGH! or else more people would probably use it.

Fir- DNA, I hate you.

And... oh, it stacks? It statiscally performs worse than Nidoqueen GE, but it's only a Stage One... And as expected, they just tacked on a generic Blissey (read: worthless) attack.

If Blissey's attack was anything else (read as: didn't cleave her HP in half) I bet she'd get more use as a swarmy type of deck. As it stands she's not worth the two spots.

It isn't very good other than its ability. Even then you have to evolve but it will still be catchered and killed.

I want to use this in unlimited with Mr. mime from base set i think. Can't kill this duh nuh nuh nuh.
Mr. Mime
40 HP
Pokemon power: Barrier. Any attacks that deal more than 30 damage to this pokemon do nothing.

So you have that as active, with a vileplume and 4 blissey on bench. Mr. mime's attack only does like 30, so you could run it with a ton of cards that put cards back into your deck and stall for deckouts.

Jungle, actually.

Just don't forget Base Nidoking (or even Crobat Prime) OHKOs this guy. Invisible Wall is too easy to slip under now.

we need an ability that makes you unaffected by special conditions.
But yeah, i can see blissey having some uses as a tech, but not very much.

Unown G GE would handle both of those. Still can't say anything about ability users.

More like a legacy attack, just like how Jumpluff has, only once, ever needed more than 1 Energy to do anything, how most Ambipoms have two attacks worth 2 Colorless Energy, or how half the Exeggutors have an attack with the instruction of "Flip X coins equal to the amount of Y on Exeggutor. This does Z damage times the number of heads."

More like it blocks damage if it does 30 HP or more.

Kind of reminds me of how I used to use Mr. Mime in conjunction with Alakazam and Tentacool. Since most decks of the day couldn't deal with Invisible Wall (Muk being the only staple that could), once all three were out, the deck was practically invincible. The only thing in my way was that I couldn't get a third Mr. Mime or a second Alakazam. This was before buying cards online got popular and all the kids wanted to hoard all their cards and not trade anything unless it was ridiculously one-sided in their favor.

It's funny how when they post Card of the Day and no one posts on it but if it's on the front page it gets 13 replies.

Just now thought of this - Why are Pokemon.com revealings worth a news post, and especially worth a thread here?

The public will have been able to see the card with translation previously, and I don't think anyone is pumped about an English version of a card so much that they can't wait for the bulk of the scans to come out a couple days later. Seems a bit wasteful of space on the site, and even less useful here.

Maybe it's just me, would anyone miss losing official revealings on cards that we already know about and will have scans of in a few days?
