Hmm, seeing Ninjask's translation now, that'd be a fairly interesting strategy. Evolve t2, get your Shedinja out, deal 60 and switch to the prizeless (and 0 retreat cost) Shedinja. Not too much in terms of damage output, but hey, your opponent isn't getting prizes very quickly.

Holy crap! THAT'S A GAME CHANGER, FOLKS!
So much for tanking with Registeel...
Or anybody else...
I wonder how something like that would effect the meta game.

espeon bw4 counters this.

The one thing I couldn't figure out to begin with, and now we have seen what it does:

Tool Scrapper - Trainer

Choose two Pokemon Tools attached to either player's Pokemon, then discard them.

You can use any number of Trainer cards during your turn.
WINDSTORM, BABY

Edit: Leave it to PCL to make a card that make Eelektrik useless (Garbodor), and then make a card that makes Garbodor useless. lolololol

This is turning into the older EXs with higher HP...

Will this be our May set? I'm guessing this won't, rather t would be the fall set.

The choice of Pokemon is quite surprising, I love the the EX they chose for the set. But regarding the artwork of the EX cards?

WHY
did they have to change the EXs artist with this set!? Shizurow does WAY better artworks than Eske Yoshinob. Well, he worked as a 3d designer on Final Fantasy games, so what? Shizurow is still the god of 3d artworks -_-

I agree completely.

Lol.
But, Eelektrik already had Raikou.

So we get a nerfed Windstorm, a nerfed Eviolite for evolutions, Hyper Devolution Spray, and a nerfed Rescue Energy in the form of a tool. Pretty good group of trainers, actually. I'd like to see Cessation Crystal now that Windstorm is back though.

Um... Ho-Oh uses it's ability from the discard pile? That's just weird.

Sheesh, so many basic Pokemon-EX now. Where's all the love for evolved Pokemon?

^In the RS-LA sets, why?

In all honesty, though, I do kinda miss playing my strong Pokémon on top of my weak Pokémon. Lol.

I remember Cessation Crystal--it's what made the deck I made based on Pokémon Tools work really well. Combined with Mysterious Shard anyway. That being said, we also need a Mysterious Shard equivalent (that can't be attached onto Pokémon-EX, like the original one was like). Even having one in your deck made for a good check against anyone using Pokémon ex.

Also, is it me, or is that Sigilyph designed specifically to deal with Mewtwo-EX? Having that high Energy cost hurts it though.

Can anybody tell if the two different special energies have the same name or not? I wonder if they're both called "Blend Energy" so you can only run a combination of 4 rather than 4 of each. I want the Roserade + Devolution Spray!!! Mew EX OMG!

This set seems like it's going to drastically change the format when it's released! I'm excited!!!

The Blend Energy names are different. One is Blend Energy WLFM; the other is Blend Energy GRPD. You can have 4 of each in a deck.
^In the RS-LA sets, why?
I can't believe you forgot Stormfront Machamp.

Yep. Shizurow is actually my favorite artist from the TCG. He (she?) has illustrated some of my favorite cards, including Regigigas LV.X and a bunch of other LV.Xs besides.

I just noticed that several cards from the new set (Throh, Sawk, Sigilyph, Slaking, Claydol, the whole Deino and Gible lines, Skuntank, Ninjask, Magmortar, and a few others) have backgrounds from either the Unova Pokemon League or N's Castle.
Very interesting...I think most Pokemon arts here are set in one of those two locations. Could this portend something?

The BWx sets since HB/PD have been going through the game's areas in order from Castelia. (with a few skipped)

Drifblim looks interesting...

50 damage for each Special Energy in your opponent's discard pile, for only one energy.

A couple of 'discard' cards (Super Removal Hammer) and you could be dealing mass damage very easily.

Am I reading the ability on that Sigilyph right? Does that ability say it's immune to damage from Pokemon EX?

Also, MEW EX FROM LEGEND MAKER IS BACK! YES!!!!

Shame we can't use Japanese Cards now! BULL!!!

If only Ho oh didn't say basic energy.....then prism pwnage! I can't wait to see the abilities and attacks in this set! The EXs are so so, not really many are playable. Mew is ok, but with Mewtwo EX out and its low 120 hp (A mew with more than 60 hp!? What has this world come to!), it isn't really worth it. I kinda like Terrakion and Registeel, and OBViOUSLY rayquaza EX is a winning card. Probly best card in the set. T/S/St are ok, I like Tool Scrapper to discard eviolites. Devolve spray is.....bad.
