Well...we don't have a scan of Lugia EX yet. Perhaps IT'S a Plasma Pokemon?Deus: Nightmare Autarch said:Is EX a mechanic used for Owner's Pokemon? No, it's not; therefore it's not relevant to the argument.

It probably is; I wouldn't doubt it. What does that have to do with anything, though?don()shinobi said:Well...we don't have a scan of Lugia EX yet. Perhaps IT'S a Plasma Pokemon?
Deus: Nightmare Autarch said:Gym series had Gym Leader's Pokemon.
Rocket sets had Rocket's Pokemon, plus a few Dark Pokemon thrown into the mix.
Holon sets had Holon's Pokemon, which although not quite the same thing was still quite thematic.
Platinum sets had Pokemon SP.
Plasma sets now have this new Plasma mechanic going on.
Notice a trend? The mechanic that's used is always new. The old ones are never brought back.
If any of you think the SPs will ever come back, you are wrong.

Ah yeah, forgot that one. I didn't play during Hoenn-block so it didn't come to mind. Thanks for the reminder.Palbert6393 said:You guys forgot one owners mechanic: Aqua Magma... which in effect was the same as the original gym leaders pokemon.
My point being that the owner's mechanic isn't determinant on whether or not it's an EX. Heck, Rocket's had tons of EXs but had tons of normal ones too.Don()shinobi said:Lugia is likely owned by Team Plasma, and IT'S an EX...that's what I'm getting at.
My apologies, humble sire.Deus: Nightmare Autarch said:My point being that the owner's mechanic isn't determinant on whether or not it's an EX.

this will really open things up allowing for much more variety I think (in a pretty varied environment already). Just because there will be many different things that will need to be teched or accounted for, Garbador, Accelgor, and now Klingklang. All different aspects of matchup problems, I like it!
Klingklang and Archeops anyone?

Although I agree with your overall point, it's worth mentioning that Dark Pokémon were in a classic set and in an ex series set, so the mechanic was brought back.Deus: Nightmare Autarch said:Gym series had Gym Leader's Pokemon.
