(1) 'Call of Legends' Prerelease Deck Box [12/31]

What, no sleeves now? I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
 
The deck box looks great! I think it's a nice change of pace, not to have sleeves for once. :D Can't wait until Pre-release!
 
I agree with Cypher, nice change. The box looks pretty cool. I am excited for this set, it will have some nice cards in it.
 
Are we still having sleeves? I go through a pair of sleeves every 3-6 weeks, so I hope so. The box does look nice, but I already have a box.
 
hopefully we will get deck boxs instead of sleeves this year because whoever makes the sleeves realized how horribly the sleeves are made and the fact that they always split!
 
oh god i want sleeves back. i heard that these new boxes are cardboard.... if they are the community is gonna uproar lol
 
I wonder if these will be sleeve-sized or Trainer Kit-sized. I found my real deck box recently, though, so I'm not that concerned.
 
Aside from just not wanting to believe the deckbox is paperboard, the lower edges of Kyogre's side of the box appear to be rounded. If they are, it's probably a flap like those on the old prerelease deckboxes (if I remember them correctly), and that wouldn't be well suited to a paperboard box, so I'm hopeful that it'll be plastic.

(It's 11 PM and I didn't get much sleep last night thanks to a migraine, so I can only hope what I just wrote made sense...)

Edit: The Hoenn legends on the box sure make it seem right at home with an ex-series release! Maybe that's swaying my judgement on the box's composition.
 
Awww. This was gonna be my first prerelease and i was looking forward to sleeves. This better be made good.
 
That deck box looks awesome. I hope I can get a good stash of cards the next time I get cards. A few years ago I was getting anywhere from 400-500 cards a year but not able to do that anymore. It stinks too because I am so far behind now.:( Anyway. Happy New Year everyone XD.:)
 
Triumphant was the first prerelease I have been to (actually first tournament I've been to/organized play) and I haven't been able to get out as often as I had hoped to during the past few months, as I have been busy with work and I'm an NFL fan (conflicting scheduals). I've booked work off for both off the prereleases in BC, and am looking forward to them!

I think that depending on the quality of the deckbox this will be pretty nice. It would be nice if it came with sleeves too, or if they alternated each prerelease, with one getting a box the other getting sleeves.
 
I like the deckbox but I'd prefer it if they'd just give out quality sleeves. Besides, I think the prerelease sleeves look nice even if they don't hold up >_>
 
I also heard it was made from cardboard, *sigh* I rather have sleeves. And on top of it being cardboard(it may not be), if they are not sleeve sized it will be really PO'd because card sleeves would be so much better. I need new card sleeves, my Celebi one's are getting pretty worn out. Regardless of the deck box being cardboard, it not being sleeved sized, and the deck box replacing sleeves, I am still looking forward to the Pre-Release(even though I might be over paying for a terrible deck box, instead of terrible sleeves)
 
Instead of fixing the quality I suppose TPCi thought it would be better to just axe sleeves altogether. The deckboxes of the EX era weren't half bad. If these new boxes live up to the EX boxes, then I welcome the change.
