(1) Change to Foreign Cards Policy for 2009-2010 Season [7/14]

thank god they did at least this. I like my german claydol :/

at least they understood that some people would need a bit of time to get pure english/regonal card's.

because of the first post people have been going insane to get english claydols/uxies in my area-in turn has made the price shoot up to 35-50

Hey, that's pretty kind of them.

Most people only use a few of them anyways for things like claydol.

Now my buying of 10 Advent of Arceus packs at the PokeCenter the day they came out won't be in vain!

cool I guess, but I never actually used a foreign card that hasn't come out yet in the states.
But I haven't been playing pokemon cards for a while now... so I wouldn't know the latest of trends.

Are you kidding me! So I missed out on a chance to trade for a Blaziken FB Lv.X that is needed in my upcoming deck for just a Luxray GL for nothing????!!! *Sighs* I guess.... PUSA is full of twists and turns. At least I can buy those Holo JP energy!

ah this is pretty cool!
I missed the announcement that they were going to be illegal the first time around and ended buying a JPN claydol for $5 off of ebay thinking I was getting the deal of a lifetime.
then I saw the announcement and thought I got jacked cuz it was now completely useless. but now I can get my $5 worth out of it!

I don't understand the basic energy part. As far as I can tell, the gray border doesn't impact the readability or cause any confusion. It just looks better than the American cards.

Playing with some foreign language cards in decks are okay short term; however, they can be annoying later. Most players are affluent with the English language. It is doubtful to fully understand another language, like Japanese, overnight.

Oh dear god. this help me out a bunch, since I needexactly 6 cards left if my deck for the next season r whatever and I have them all in Japanese. But Gengar Lv.X, I will bet anyone a dollar, will appear at someone's league. Someone will have it.

Wow :( I'm not sad just surprised. Well this means I can use the Dialga G lv X I accidently got that was Japanese. But more importantly it means usage of 'Super Bonbon' is extended. (Super Bonbon is another language for Rare Candy for those who don't know) Well anyway, other than that I don't really care. (Though I may get a Japanese Uxie) I'm still going to try and ditch the majority of my Japanese cards anyway.

Thank you, PUI. This is a WHOLE lot better than the ban you had suggested a while back. At least now people have not wasted $100s of dollars of BET and PoTF boxes.

Now I'll probably invest in DP4 and DP5 packs for Claydol and Uxie. =)

However, I wouldn't buy any boxes of sets after the next JP set. That set will come out in English in February, so it will give you half a year to use it.

He forgot to mention tho, that the Japanese cards have to be released in English from Supreme Victors or before, so any released beyond that are not legal.

I think you meant the 2009-2010 season in the second paragraph where you said 2010-2011 season, WPM.

Anyway, I'm mainly surprised too. I guess more Jap. Claydols and Uxies will be popping up this year. I'm still not going to buy any different language cards because they'll probably ban them for the season after this upcoming one.

dmaster out.
