(1) Deleted Scene from BW2 Animated Trailer [7/13]

THAT EXTRA PART IS SOOOO EPIC! I can see why it wasn't put in though, it's a bit slower and doesn't give a real insight into whats coming in the game. But so awesome

I also think it was cut due to time.

This is awesome! I love how they animated the movement of the Pokemon. Also, Mei!

it doesnt seem to fit the flow of the rest of the video

its still awesome though

The video was awesome but was very laggy for some odd reason. Was cool though.:)

in 1:40 they managed to create a battle 10x better than any other battle in the main series. Game Freak is just lazy

I saw the anime when it came out here in germany, but now I'm getting tired of it.
It's so repetiv... Kinda annoying.
Something fresh, new and with a bit more realism and "brain" would be A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
In my oppinion it's kinda waste to use it only for a trailer and promotion.
It would definitly be one of the anime sensations of the year!

That's the most idiotic battle scene I've ever seen. It's like whoever made it don't have any idea how Gym battles work.

Like, it's fine animation-wise and all (mostly, at least), but... that's not how you do a Gym battle. You don't have the Trainers standing right next to their Pokémon. There's a reason why they have a big battlefield. The trainers aren't supposed to be right in the middle of the action like that. They could've been hurt! Just imagine what could've happened if Stoutland failed to deflect that attack from Serperior in the beginning...
It could've worked for a battle against villains, but it's not like you're supposed to hurt the Trainer you're fighting in a friendly Gym battle.

People are praising it for "realism", but it's a scenario that could never realistically happen.
Awful.

Go tell that to Hareta (Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Adventure). He FIGHTS with them (sure he's kinda superhman, buuut...). I also really liked how they stood side by side, it shows they have great trust, and that pokemon aren't just tools.

Have you read Pokemon Adventures? The trainers actually move around with their Pokemon and even sometimes take hits from the attacks. They even ride on their Pokemon during the battles. A very good example would be their air battle at the end of the GSC chapter. Hell, Silver even went as far as pushing himself and Will off of Lugia and having a battle in midair (iirc, it's been a year since I last read this chapter). The common portrayal in the mangas is that Pokemon battles are serious stuff. It's how Pokemon battles would be; a test for the Pokemon and trainers. It sounds boring to just shout commands from far away. Clearly shows a low level of trust right there.

More realistic than the trainers being able to shout orders and their pokemon being able to hear them over the battle even when they are on a field as long as a football feild

ComfortEagle: I agree, but as I said

The battle in this scene was either an official Gym battle or a friendly battle. It's not supposed to be a fight to death and you're not supposed to have a chance to get injured, and (realistically) a Gym that had such battles would probably get shut down.

Actually, this is the way Pokemon battles were intended. Did you know that Satoshi Tajiri once said the Pokemon Adventures is the best comic representaion of the world he was trying to create? The battle in this trailer and the battles in Pokemon Adventures are very much alike. Both display a high level of trust.

To prove the trust point, during that big explosion Serperior uses Protect to prevent Mei from getting hurt. Stoutland did the same for Cheren at the start of the battle.

and (realistically) a Gym that had such battles would probably get shut down.

Watson's gym has electrical fields everywhere and he gets away with how dangerous it is. Flannery's gym is probably 120+ degrees and she gets away with that risk. Really there's a lot of danger just outside of the battles.

I'm with FireMeowth on this, kinda. It's a bit health-and-safetyish, but yeah, let's retreat to a safe distance here.

It looked awesome though.

Hmm, I'm with ComfortEagle. The only issue with this trailer is that Frenzy Plant. Seriously? Serperior didn't make a move and those giant vines came out of nowhere. IMO.

I wonder why they made Hyper Beam look like Dark Pulse, Toxic, Hidden Power or Shadow Ball and guess that is why the scene was left out.
