(1) 'Dragon Vault' Blister Pack Revealed! [8/31]

And when they declare this illegal for Regionals (Like BW2 for VGC), I'm going to laugh ridiculously hard.

Yeah, but the "promos" might also be in th "regular set".

The Dragon Selection cards don't have "rarities" (as far as I know). It'll probably be just 5 random cards, sharing same "promo" rarity.

They could do it like how the POP sets were done, random cards each with a rarity
it could go like
11 Common
6 Uncommon
3 Rare, not saying that wold be the number of cards, but it's just an example.

Already bought the whole set in japanese because i thought the dragon vault would be different then selection. Still nice cards but wish i knew this a month ago,.

I doubt we'll get all of these, but any of these Dragon-type Japanese promos could be fair game for the Dragon Vault blister promos:

Shiny Rayquaza (Nobunaga version)
Haxorus
Kyurem
Flygon (there are two in Japan, but if the current prerelease trend continues, one of these will be the prerelease promo for Boundaries Crossed)
Rayquaza EX (full art promo variant)
Giratina EX (full art promo variant)

Or we could just get promo versions of the cards in the mini set (like the Druddigon pictured)...and that would be lame...

I keep reading "Shiny Rayauaza". Is there any proof they will put that card in this set?

Probably not for the promo version with Nobunaga in the artwork. Probably so for the non-shiny version that was in Dragon Selection.

Did japan even get the POP sets?
It'll probably be like that, or just no "rarities" at all, just random cards. Also, the "promos" could have a different treatment as a same version in the "set".

Actually they did but i dunno if they got all 9. I do know our POP 1 was made from Japan's McDonalds giveaway set at the time :)

I know (most of) 9 was another giveaway thing in japan. Please be in one of my local stores.

I'm pulling for Kyurem as one of the promos personally. I could see Haxorus as well.

I somehow doubt that the alternate full arts will be promo cards, at least in Dragon's Vault. I see more of a special product like the Forces of Nature box if it were to happen at all. I could be wrong though.

Since there's no Vibrava or Trapinch in Dragon's Vault I don't think it will be Flygon. I'd expect that for something post Boundaries Crossed when we get Flygon and its forms.

Nobunga Rayquaza is a card that I'm not sure we'll get here in America. Much like most of Japan's Vending Machine promos and the second gym leader series.

Wait, what? *looks up on google* Dear Lord, I really, really hope this comes to the US. Badly. What if they put it as a secret rare? Not that that'd make much sense, but it'd be amusing, to say the least.

How exactly does Fast Ticket work? Replaces the coin flip?
Supposedly, yes. It's not out in English yet so we don't know for sure, but that is the assumption.
...It's First Ticket, by the way, not Fast Ticket.

Gotcha, thanks. Also, do we know the rarities? Are all cards essentially "common" for this set? Hard to tell from the packaging or the japanese set.

Are you sure? Because everywhere it's translated Fast Ticket :)

Positive.

ファースト = First
ファスト = Fast

ファーストチケット = First Ticket
