Meh. This is good insofar as it means they're definitely making 3D models for a full-on 3DS game. But, like other posters, I don't understand why they would release a Pokedex with such unnecessarily limited functionality. I should not have to unlock something in order for it to be useful to me.
Does the 3DS allow you to save-state games (especially DS games) you're playing, go to the home screen, run apps, and then return to your save-stated game? If not, then this seems even less likely to be useful, unless the assumption is that I should be playing BW on my DSLite and simultaneously using my 3DS as a Pokedex... which seems sort of silly.
This is probably why TPCi was going after the functional, well-done Pokedex apps out there on the android market. If they aren't even making money off of this, then why are they trying to keep people from distributing more functional Pokedex apps (especially since they aren't competing on the same platform)?
