(1) Legends Awakened Giratina [7/28]

Giratina is just plain okay to me. I like the artwork, but I doubt I'll be able to make the Pre-release. ;(

dmaster out.

I like the style of these new LA cards.

Unfortunately, Giratina... 'Ain't that great, to say the least.

It'll be great in the prereleases though. I like the artwork, which is saying something considering how often I play Pokémon Battle Revolution and run into Giratina somewhere down the line. Like one-third of all people playing online in that game use Giratina...

I might figure out a way to do something with this Giratina simply because I like the artwork.

I really hate it when someone comes up in battle revolution with all legendaries and they do their strongest attacks, anyways, it is a good card, especially because it can beat a pokemon in two turns without a real sacrifice like taking away energy cards.

I don't like the artwork on this one, or any card that uses the 3D-rendered Pokémon that you see on PBR. I think, though, they're just using the 3D models to save time on card images... ^_^;

His attack does 50 damadge plus 10 more for each damage counter on the defending pokemon...does that mean it would still do 100 if the defending pokemon didn't had any damage on it? I mean, you apply damadge before effects

My guess is that there are two reasons why CGI is done a lot in the TCG illustrations:
1. CGI is in. Look at the box office for CGI-animated movies nowadays compared to traditional 2-D animated movies. It's what people want.
2. It probably DOES save time, as the same illustrator can use the same model for another illustration of the same Pokémon. Granted, only a few of the illustrators are prolific enough to work on the same Pokémon twice or more within a short time. (On another note, Yuka Morii can also use this same shortcut for her clay figures.)

However, this is NOT the model of Giratina from PBR. This has a much higher polygon count, the gray areas are lighter, and the shading is softer.

I like the artwork for sure.Not the greatest card in the world but Brutal Edge looks like it could finish the job pretty quick.I wouldn't mind to see a Lv.X of this Pokemon though.
