(1) Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr Prime Revealed [1/17]

How rare are these cards? Are they secret type rares or regular rares and will be sort of easy to get rares? Just wondering? I also hope to get cards soon too.:)

attaching a huge amount of energy in a turn looks very appealing... As long as you're the one using it! XD

Jokes aside, I think I could make a pretty good deck around it...

So prime isn't part of the name? Well that's disappointing. (Even though I was expecting as much.) Every day this set gets closer I get more excited.

These ones are as rare as bidoof.

They'll all be in a tin. :D

Umm whatever you guys say I simply DON'T like that artwork... simply too... artificial, its not art anymore its more like... round shapes made of plasticine :/
I don't like the fact that Lv.X cards are being kicked out either -.-
But! Boring bright yellow outline is finally kicked out! and card design is much more inovative like stage signs (although here, we should forget about artwork which in my opinnion sux)...

Attacks are ok but if rarity continues (3-4 Great Pokemon in a box) we are kind of being ripped off (Lv.X's are much better than Great pokemon, maybe not so much in attacks but definitely in artwork and feeling of getting a Lv.X..

Yay... now I actually have the motivation to write an article on these cards now that we have an English scan.

@TheB: The Prime artist is a brand new artist. So, for sure there might be other artists drawing the Prime Pokemon in time.

Now that new cards are starting to come out, the art is also getting better.

Why is there a new font? and those energy symbol looks fake.

It was already announced, but PUSA decided to change the size of the energy symbols and the font to mess up fakers from making some fake cards. I like the new font more for some reason, and although some hate the larger energy symbols I actually don't mind it...

I like them.
I hope the tin artwork is better for Megnamium though.
Also does anyone know what Pokemon Sunday revealed yesterday?

Pokemon Ranger: Tracks of Light

They're just OK to me. The Level Xs were better IMHO, but then again, the Legend cards are the ones that matter.

I like them. I already knew, but I think I'll play Typhlosion Prime. Not only is Typhlosion my favorite Pokemon, but Typhlosion and Typhlosion Prime are awesome!

Nothing that a day of investigation on my part won't overcome. The font isn't terribly bad, the energy symbols are ugly as sin though.

Have to agree that I don't like the artwork for Pokémon Prime cards, unimaginative and unimpressive. At least LEGEND Pokémon make up for it in that department. Pokémon Prime are at least very useable, essentially gamebreaking cards - which I think is slightly unfair when you consider that they work exactly like a regular Pokémon card with no drawbacks (Pokémon-ex) or additional conditions to get them into play (LV.X - IMO the most true-to-Pokémon and effective game mechanic to date).

IMO, Feraligatr is overhyped, Meganium isn't very useful and Typhlosion is overlooked but will actually be decent. Just saying.

I actually think Gatr and Typhlosion will be viable. Meganium, not so much, but could be okay. We'll see what decks make out of them. I can see Gatr/stoise/RS LEGEND, Charizard/Typhlosion, and somewhat Meganium, though I have no idea what he could work with.

Feraligatr will obviously be the best out of the three with the best Poke-Power. The artwork looks fine and I love the borders, gold name, and the design around the artwork. I don't care that much for the fonts and Energy symbols though. One of the worst parts of the new cards IMO.

dmaster out.

Not to mention since they're Stage 1/2 rather than a separate stage, you'll need more than 1 for anything other than teching, making deck assembly even more tedious.

Lv. X's also take longer to get out, and you can't level up on the bench.

With Ferialigatr and Typhlosion, you can charge up Lugia in one turn, every turn. Poke-power attach water, Poke-power attach fire (the "any Pokemon" part is what makes this card <3, believe it or not), regularly attach lightning. Bam, 200 a turn.

Would require set-up, though, and is half-impractical, but DANG would that be epic to witness.

Anyways, Ferialigatr and Typhlosion are energy acceleration, Meganium is mobility. Not much to say there.
