IMO, Feraligatr is overhyped, Meganium isn't very useful and Typhlosion is overlooked but will actually be decent. Just saying.

How can rain dance be overhyped o_o

Typhlo is meh, it's just okay. Nothing special IMO

The problem of the energy symbols and the new font is that they make the cards look faker...

Agreed. Thats the easiest way to tell one of those hong kong fakes. Not anymore...

We predict that our May HGSS set will be a combination of the cut HGSS cards from this set, the Japanese Battle Starter Decks, the Japanese Expert Deck Leafeon vs. Metagross package, and random promos such as Pokemon Prime Slowking. Then, Revived Legends, the next Japanese set, will be our third HGSS set in August.
Does ANYONE read the whole article? This could be horrible for the Meta, there is barely anything good between those, maybe Rare candy and good rod and the primes, but other than that nothing.

There's some decent stuff in those sets. The 3 free energy ninetales and the hydro launcher blastoise are really good. Jirachi + energy link gives you much needed energy acceleration for psycic pokemon. I'm also excited about dual ball. It will speed up gyrarados, pixies, and other stuff that you need the basic pokemon in your hand for. There are some good supporters too.

Nothing that a day of investigation on my part won't overcome. The font isn't terribly bad, the energy symbols are ugly as sin though.

Have to agree that I don't like the artwork for Pokémon Prime cards, unimaginative and unimpressive. At least LEGEND Pokémon make up for it in that department. Pokémon Prime are at least very useable, essentially gamebreaking cards - which I think is slightly unfair when you consider that they work exactly like a regular Pokémon card with no drawbacks (Pokémon-ex) or additional conditions to get them into play (LV.X - IMO the most true-to-Pokémon and effective game mechanic to date).

TBH Fangy - I hate the new font. It's almost as butt-ugly as the symbols and it looks like something you'd get on a cheap, knock-off fake from abroad. Ah well, the TCG has gone waaaaaaaay downhill since the EX-series.

Agreed. Thats why they essentially remade EX, except without the two prizes. I mean, EX's started out REALLY crappy. Like 3 energy for 60 damage and your opponent is confused and stuff like that. Not bad, but not good.

But everyone else, Typhlosion is so OP. A fire energy from your discard on Infernape 4 and one from your hand bam thats a tech in any Infernape 4 deck.

Unless the Japanese sets have another big gap in issuance, it sounds like we will be completing set 2 as they are getting set 4.

Maybe we get lucky and they release the decks as is here and the cards cut from HGSS is added to Revived Legends. I wonder what this new "era" will be called here.

And nothing of value was lost.

I'm willing to admit I'm building a gatr deck (which in involves Claydol), but I don't care what kind of meta support there is. I wanna have fun, damnit, and it's rotations/sets like this that give people who just build decks to have fun a chance at placing well in tournaments.
