The Pokemon are ordered by Pokedex number, so Durant and Probopass come after Registeel, and Dragonite would have to come before Altaria. I guess that would mean we don't get it.

Except the card you're talking about is the Ninetales promo. Altaria and Drifblim alternate art promos were Blister promos in Japan...
 
if the "bad" Garchomp will be in the theme decks, shouldn't it also be in the set itself, if so then dragon selection would be in our set, or am i missing something?

The "bad" Garchomp is from the theme decks not Dragon Selection.

No they weren't, there wasn't even any promos packs for DBDB.

It was later reprinted as one of the BW-P Promotional cards with new artwork by 5ban Graphics and given away with the purchase of either a Garchomp Half Deck or Hydreigon Half Deck to those present at the Garchomp•Hydreigon Cup, part of the Spring Tournament held nationwide in Japan during April 2012. It was also given away in the same manner to those present at the Battle Carnival Spring 2012 events held at four locations in May and June 2012.

Hooray, now I'm not hating Troll and Toad for not working for me! I missed their $4 batch of Altarias because my cart wouldn't update. Hopefully they will be a BIT cheaper because of this.

They shouldn't be more than $2 or so IMO.
 
Registeel takes a while to set up, but Triple laser is pretty decent. Protect charge is decent,too. But as for Milotic and Altaria... LIKE A BOSS.
