(1) Nintendo DSi XL To Be Released Next Month [2/24]

Well, at least if someone tries to mug you for your DSi XL you can whack 'em in the side of the head with it and give them a concussion

so they're went DS which was big, DS lite which was small, DSi which was slightly bigger than the DS lite and now they've gone superzied. honestly i doubt this will generate as many sales a the DSi mainly because it cost nearly the same as a wii, i'd bemore inclinded to get a Wii over this (but i already have a wii so this point isn't very valid =p)

And that why I think they made it for. It's basically for the older crowd. I also like how people think nintendo is stupid and that they don't know what they're doing and that they are smarter. I just lol at that.
 
Wow. The new DS is very impressive. I wonder if the games that show will be bigger meaning that when yu turn it n everything will be lager. I wonder if the regular stylus will work with it rather than using the big one.:)
 
Heh. Europe's getting it over three weeks before the US. *snickers*

Anyways, I'll be buying this in a week. It's so incredibly awesome. It has better speakers, better and bigger screens, comes with free games, and is in my favourite colour. It even has the coolest stylus ever. <3

WPM: The colours are called WineRed (my favourite~), NaturalWhite and DarkBrown (although I think the NaturalWhite DSi XL won't be released outside Japan, aye?).
 
I wouldn't waste my money on it if you already have a DS lite or a DSi. I heard the graphics weren't going to be as good because the enlarged screens would actually make the pixels appear larger thus making the game more blockier. To me it feels like this is Nintendo's way of saying "hand over the money."

I have the original DS. I still use it, and it works just fine. The lacquer is coming off in some places, but I have no reason to get a DSi XL. Well, unless I get money pouring in and theres DSWare that I'd like to get.

True. Satoru Iwata is one of the most, of not THE most cunning business leader on the planet right now. He took a tough situation for Nintendo and turned it around. Considering that every move he's done with the Wii has been calculated from the moment the Wii was released, it wouldn't surprise me that he's been doing the same thing with the DS.

I don't always understand what Iwata is up to, but every move he's made while in charge of Nintendo has made money. I don't know what he intends to do with the XL, but judging from his track record, it's going to work somehow.
 
okay, why do we need some new jumbo-crap DSi??? i mean, really... it just makes it heavier and harder to fit it in your pocket. in my opinion, its just stupid and a waste of time. :mad:
 
Nobody is forcing anybody to buy this thing, and I'm sure they didn't delay the next console to release this.If you don't care for it, that's fine, I think it's nice that Nintendo is giving people options outside of console color.
 
The buttons look really small to me. _._
It's just a big version of the DSi with a bigger screen and a bigger stylus thats the main things that are different.
Also it costs $189.99 o_O thats a lot of $$$$.
 
*Sigh*. Nintendo make up your mind. Little kids buy the DSi and now you make a bigger one. Make everything come out of the same time so they don't waste their money, gosh. Btw it looks kinda cool :p

Nintendo has been targeting adult audiences for the past few years now with both the Wii and DS, which other companies have not done. The new DS is obviously for adults who have trouble seeing. They wouldn't release something that bulky for little kids to shove in their pocket... it wouldn't fit!
