Whoops, wrote "metal" once instead of "steel" :D

@GamerXYZ: You're joking right? Do you really wanna compare the number of Grass types in the set with the number of Fire types? There's only 2 Fire cards (both from the same line) in Megalo Cannon, while there's 8 Grass cards not counting EXs, FA and shinies... Sure, we already know Plasma Blast will have more cards (like the Genesect promo in the theme deck) and I really think they will include the Exciting-Battles-wtv-deck cards, but still the number of Grass cards will be much bigger than the number of Fire cards...

@signofzeta: Like, no problem with a Fire/Metal deck but joining 2 of the types which usually have very few cards in sets, means the deck would have to be filled with a lot of Colorless pokémon...

Like I said: almost all Grass Pokemon in Megalo Cannon (with the exception of Tropius) require something else (either to be used at all, or for 1 of its attacks/ability). So, unless the theme deck is specifically build to work like that (like how Raiders became Tool-based for Cofag), there are only few candidates (only Tropius), unless of course they make the theme deck even more incomplete than usual.

What I really think will happen would probably be Grass Water, and Fire (Psychic or Fighting), although Grass Lightning hasn't been done since the ex sets, and Fire Metal has never been done before. I also said that Fire Darkness has never been done, but I forgot about the Dark Blast deck from ex Power Keepers, but that deck didn't really use basic darkness energy though, as that set was before the time of basic darkness energy.

I wanna get both of the Theme Decks for sure !! Looking forward to it so badly !
The images look beautiful so I can't wait.. ^.^

I'd say there's a 99% chance it's the overused Grass/Psychic combination (no idea about the Volcarona deck though). The deck names are "Mind Wipe" and "Solar Strike". I don't know which deck is called which, but Solar Strike sounds awfully Fire-related, making the Psychic-sounding name Genesect's. I hope I'm wrong, though (Fire/Psychic would be alot better).

I'll even go a step further: it might be anti-Plasma vs Plasma. With Mind Wipe getting cards like Drifblim (advantage when opponent controls Plasma Pokemon) and Golurk (advantage when you control no Plasma Pokemon). But I have nothing to show for this.

I too was thinking Fire/Fighting (but I hope that's not the case: also quite common), thanks to the "Strike" part. But then again, Mind Wipe says nothing about Grass either, so it can be anything.

Fire/Lightning would be a cool combination: that's quite a rare one (surprisingly, since they fit together, which makes the combination all the more desired by me). But with only 1 evolution line of both Fire and Lightning in the set, that would mean either a LOT of Normals or Promo cards, so I wouldn't count on it.

Yeah that kind of sucks. There is this speculation on fairy types, but before they add any more types, they really need to fix the Fire, Lightning, Darkness, and Metal problem before they make it worse by adding a new type.

Grass is probably the most when it came to theme decks. I'm glad that we don't see as much grass in the BW era, but the entire Diamond and Pearl, Platinum, and Heartgold Soulsilver era had one theme deck per set that had Grass in it. Fighting and Psychic are too common as well. Water was meh.

Do you know what's so funny with Boundaries Crossed, Plasma Storm, and Plasma Freeze? If you took all those theme decks, you only find 3 different energy combinations in total.

Water Lightning
Fire Water
Grass Psychic

The 3 sets don't have one of these combinations.

I am looking forward to the set, as much as any previous set. The only set that has excited me for a while was Boundaries Crossed, I like the new Plasma cards as well though. I won't be getting the decks, as they are a waste of money.

Lol, isn't every theme deck a waste of money to those who either aren't collecting them, or already know how to play?

I always get deck codes for TCGO. I won't set a foot in competitive, with all the EX's and such running around. Theme duels are at least enjoyable (though unfortunately, the free mono-Fighting deck is a bit overused, with Conkeldurr being on the broken side for theme decks, which of course also makes Fighting-weak deck a bit too useless. But at least the difference is smaller than the difference between EX and non-EX).

So, I did some research, and got the cards of plasma blast (Well, you'll see)

Megalo cannon: 86 cards 4 being shiny AKA secrets rares are 4.

Total right now seeing we know the EX from MC are in this: 82.
We are getting Kyurem EX from the deck and master ball. 84(88)
Assume we also get the other special cards from the deck. Theres an extra 5. 89(93). Now, we assume Shiny collection will be having its own set, right? And 7 reprints are too much. What remains? Fillers/new cards!

We also get genesect from corocoro. Released a while back. 90(94) And now, assume we get the salamence V-jump promo! They will have the evolution line, so that’s around 3 more cards. 93 (97). Getting close to over a hundred, are we?

TCPI will advertise the hell out of genesect, I searched it and there is a plasma genesect promo in japan! Google it! That’s a total of 94(98). After research, I found that a froslass BW promo exists! 95 (99). Now, really close. Remember, this excludes reprints. If we get 6 more cards, it’ll be 101! Over 100! Heres my reprint list: Catcher and N. Then, the final 4 will be fillers.

Note: I may have made typos and made some mistakes, I wrote this in word and didn't proof-read.

^N could in fact be reprinted as there's still a print which hasn't been released in the west and N is tied with Team Plasma... I doubt about Catcher though...

As for Salamence... There won't be the whole evolution line, as Bagon and Shelgon were already released on Dragon Vault... But they can put Salamence alone, it wouldn't be the first time (promo Haxorus in Dark Explorers)... Also, there's a promo Machamp released at the same time as Froslass and a Magikarp which may be included as filler... There's also a promo Flygon, which could be included in the same way as Salamence...
and a promo Mew (more filler)...

There are no Bagon and Shelgon cards to bring over from Japan and it would pretty terrible if they created some English-exclusive cards for filler when there's a bunch of cards from Japan with no indication of being translated right now, as we're probably moving right along to XY1 in November.

My guess: Megalo Cannon, Blastoise/Kyurem-EX Decks, and then either some Fire filler cards from Everybody's Exciting Battles, or the new cards that are said to be in EX Battle Boost (the original report said that the set was mostly reprints with some new cards).
