(1) 'Plasma Freeze' Scans!

Looks like Plasma Freeze has been designed by Oprah :p:
*Oprah looks at the cards*
"You get to be a rare!"
"And you get to be a rare!"
"And everybody gets to be a rare!"

The list of scans needed doesn't list FA TornadusEX (I think it's #114) as there's not a scan up of it.

Wow, so much to say!
Muk is one of the first pokemon I've seen with an exclamation mark in the Pokedex entry. Edit: Hydreigon as well.
Sableye is rare. WHAT. (remember Manaphy the PS holo o_O) At least Mawile isn't rare.
Zekrom and Reshiram are really bad...
I think Kyurem's artwork looks awesome :)
I can really imagine SR Ultra Ball being extremely expensive, as well as max potion to a lesser extent.

Other than the name changes of SER and Life Dew, there is nothing new.

My favorite card of the set is Kingdra, it can play a nice rogue. 1 energy attacks that can Snipe the bench or hit for a lot getting your energies back, but its a stage 2.

Chandelure could also make a nice rogue with Reshiram (BW) and Hetran EX. The bad part is that you'll have to setup 2 Stages 2 (I believe this could be the best amount you could have) and its easier in KK as there you have a lock.

The Lati twins could also be nice (sadly they aren't Plasma). Latias could work with Deoxys/Plasma Badge for a fun deck (GRPD and Darkrai works nice with it). Latios has a nice first attack but isn't Plasma to get it T1 with Deoxys.

D-nite seems like a card someone will try to make it good.

There is also Weavile/Exeggcute which I believe it won't get over T2 (if it even gets in the meta). Weavile is too fragile. Unless you play Deoxys (3), Dark Claw (3), Darkrai (1 at least), Sableye (3) and Virbank Lasers (2/4), it won't have much to go with (the numbers in parenthesis are the number I would prefer for it to work plus a 4/4 of Weavile, 4 Exeggcute and preferably SR).

And there is of course Deoxys/Thundurus/Kyurem and others for Plasma Box.

OH YEAH!!!!!

Deoxys/Thundurus/Plasma badge is downright broken. Plasma badge with Bouffalant and Colress Machine sets up a turn one gold breaker. I expect that to be a very feared first turn. Thundurus makes it possible to play all special energy and still have acceleration and a decent attack. And Deoxys makes the whole engine that much more broken.

Shadow Triad has the potential to be broken. Late game, you can get back key cards (mainly lasers, plasma energy, and various pokemon). Earily game you can reuse Colress Machine to get that Lugia or Snorlax attacking by turn two.

Float stone + Keldeo EX is broken. It acts like a Darkrai for any deck, but even better since you can get out of stasis. KlingKlang becomes as viable as Darkrai Hydreigon.

I expect Absol/Kyurem/and new Tornadus EX to be good attackers. Absol + Darkclaw destroys plasmaklang and partners well with Darkrai. Kyurem is like a non EX Landorus (w colress Machine) and should set up KOs with Lugia. Tornadus can easily get up to 120 or even 150 if you get lucky. It also has one of the better hand refresher moves out there.

Plasma ball is nice.

New Chandelure looks cool. I've seen some interesting deck ideas involving superrod, pokemon center, and Rayquaza EX. Don't know if it will be better than Emboar or Eelectrik, but it does offer something new.

Latias EX should be the ideal starter. She's protected from the first turn goldbreaker and plasma gale and won't get donked unless an opponent pulls something crazy with ethers or the new Tornadus EX.

Heatran is pretty bad....

You are overusing the term "broken". Broken is if it has no way around it and it is an excellent card. Plasma Box can take the format down pretty easily but Plasma Badge isn't needed.

Shadow Triad isn't broken. It is a supporter so that is its downside. Most player prefer hand refreshers. If Shadow Triad is broken, Skyla is broken too.

Float Stone + Keldeo EX is good but it isn't broken either. It is pretty good but Tool Scrapper and Garbodor stop it.

I just noticed Eevee got nerfed. In the Japanese scans, it said search for 3 pokemon that evolve from Eevee, but in English, it says of different types.

Hmm. I like life dew, junk hunt would be a pretty good combo right? Just keep bringing it back :p

Pair that with dragonite's deafen attack to prevent Tool Scrapper, lasers/catchers, etc. and your opponent will have some serious problems. Although it's a bit clunky and gimmicky it might work with a town map tech to always get it when it's prized...

I'm really glad to see Seismitoad and Kingdra, (2 of my 3 favorite Pokémon) in the set, both as rare cards. We haven't had a Dragon-type Kingdra card yet either, so this is good for collections. The Seismitoad card artwork is sweet. Does anyone know if the Seismitoad is going to be holofoil? The Frozen City trainer is a deck-worthy card. Rock Guard, Life Dew, and Superior Energy Retrieval are also cards that I would put into my deck. I think there should be more than just 2 Steel-type cards in this deck (Steelix and Mawile); there are 7 Dragon-type cards and that was just introduced! The Kyurem looks sick as well.

Check your math again.

20 + 20(6)
=
20 + 120
=
140? Not seeing where the math went wrong there.

Sorry, but yes, there are only 5 Pokémon allowed on a bench.

5 SECRET RARES.... WHY!!!!!11

Actually six secret rares. I like Empoleon. He's my favorite Pokemon and I shall get that card.

The only real surprise is that "Super Energy Retrieval" has been renamed to "Superior Energy Retrieval," which was probably a decision TPCi made to prevent the older Neo Genesis print from being used in tournament decks since its new wording is radically different. In Japan, the Spiral Force card has the exact same name as the original print in Gold, Silver, to a New World... (their Neo Genesis set). Scratch that, the Japanese name of the Neo card is actually slightly different than the Japanese name of the Spiral Force card. My mistake!

If you hadn't noticed this before now, I would have pointed this out myself. My friend opened PB on his phone and saw the comment, so I asked him to search for the Japanese card scans to confirm it for sure.
Yyyyyyyyup :p

Oh, I don't think it would be tier one or 2, but could build an annoying tier 3 deck around it i'm sure haha.

If a Gabite engine could set it up well, Dragonite with Altaria seems to have potential. Plus, Garchomp can hit whatever hits Dragons for weakness a lot better than they likely can.

So much for Skyla FA being in this set =/

Boundaries Crossed. Why would it be here?

These Full Arts are super lovely, can't wait to get my hands on them. Also nice to see that we have all the Plasmabox stuff.

...and Skyla FA was originally in Japan's equivalent of Plasma Storm, not Freeze.
Man, you're derping hard today :p
