(1) 'Plasma Gale' Victini-EX, Articuno-EX, and Set List Revealed [9/11]

They brought back Junk Arm...I meant: they brought back Item Finder!!! Either way it is still an awesome card! Pokemon TCG is so balanced--I can't wait for this set!

Also, how come Zapdos EX was not listed here?

That can't be right. Paralysis with no drawback that hinders you at all from using it on the next turn?

u mad, other legendary birds? problem, pokemon with less than 170 HP?

I want a play set of this card just out of principle.

Ok, I need to clear this up. Does an Ability count as an Effect upon that Pokemon? Ability = Effect?

For example, can Giratina EX / Cobalion EX attack and damage Sigilyph DRX?

Can Giratina EX's Shred damage a Sigilyph DRX?
Yes, since Safeguard is considered an effect on the target.

That sounds about right. The Ability itself isn't an effect but, when triggered, then places an effect on Sigilyph.

Thx for the info.

EDIT: Um...this is noobish but, would Evolite also count as placing an effect, then would be ignored? All all Tool cards effects?

Nice. Thanks again. That clears up some things. So Pokemon TCG really is as simple as I thought. I'm usually right when my friends and I get into rule debates. However, these two times I was wrong. While I understand what an effect is, I misunderstood what causes an effect.

If it is somehow influencing a Pokemon in some form or fashion, odds are that it is an effect.

~Safeguard - It influences Sigilyph, by giving it immunity to Pokemon EX.
~Eviolite - It influences who it's attached to (if Basic), by having it take 20 less damage from attacks.
~Smooth Coat - It influences Cinccino, by (occasionally) protecting it from attack damage.

Shred states that its damage is not affected by any effects on the Defending Pokemon (target). All three of the above are examples of things that affect the damage. Rocky Helmet is not an example of this, because it does not affect the attack's damage.

Really, figuring out rulings dilemma are generally simple...especially in BW-on, where the wording is pretty straightforward and figuring everything out is easy-peasy. Like can you attach a Blend Energy WLFM from the discard with Dynamotor? No, because Blend Energy only provides {C} energy by default. And so on.

The addition of the Ace Specs on top of the previously ratios meant you got 11/20 rare or higher instead of ten. Full arts seemed to be more common also.

That's what I found at least.

I didn't really think my pull rates for BW6 were any better than previous sets. I'll be getting my boxes early next week, though, so I'll post the pull rates in that thread then.

OMG, a legendary bird with an even more legendary attack !!! i love it
also hurray for scramble swith and even more cards, beautifull set !!!

Yes, thanks for clearing all that up. You're right, cards are more straightforward now that before.
