(1) PokeDex Entries for Reshiram and Zekrom [6/16]

xD That's... Weird. Not exactly what I expected, but interesting.

So Reshiram moves the atmosphere of the Earth with its heat, and Zekrom generates electricity in its body and hides in thunderclouds. Can't wait to see how this is used in the upcoming games. So I guess the two don't oppose each other in any way? Dialga and Palkia didn't except for in the movies, but I could see how the two could clash. I can barely see how these two would clash (Reshiram disturbs Zekrom's electricity generation, or something?), so perhaps they're just related by their ability to influence the skies, and they won't have a power clash like Kyogre and Groudon did ages ago.
 
I for one am very excited that these two aren't immediately described as some deity. Thank goodness, these descroptions only make them more epic. :)

As for the descriptions themselves, here are my thoughts.

It says that Reshiram's flames burn its surroundings and possibly move the earth's atmosphere.

And then it says that Zekrom's generator (knew it :)) produces electricity, and that Zekrom hides in Thunder clouds.

If that doesn't scream connection with the sky, then I don't know what will. One supposedly moves the earth's atmosphere, while the other produces electricity and hides. This makes me wonder what the third legendary will be like...possibly one that deals with the wind, or some other aspect of nature?

This would also explain the new eather indicator on the battle screen. With the new significance of the weather-controlling sky, it would make sense to add this feature for that reason and of course to not have players smashing the A button relentlessly every single turn.

But could this also mean that Reshiram and Zekrom are in fact not located within mountains, since that would practically defeat the purpose of a *sky* theme?
 
Maybe now they're fallen angels. :p

Wouldn't it be cool if you could battle Zekrom in a thunder cloud? It would kind of be like Castle in the Sky... going up into the sky to find what you're looking for and encountering a huge cloud you have to get through to reach your destination.
 
Yeah, maybe even that "shrine" is really a twister like some people think that brings them up to the clouds. :O And maybe the new form of transportation is winged shoes, like in Greek Myth!! ;P

Couldn't they just land on the mountains to rest, or maybe the evil team drags them down there to harness their powers? (Perhaps that's a bit too much like DPPt.) I dunno. It'll be interesting to see where they go with the sky theme, though. The screenshots of the battles with them show them on solid ground, but I guess that could change at any time.
 
This could fit into the possible Ruby and Sapphire remake.

The heated atmosphere evaporates the oceans, expanding land.
The thunderstorms flood the earth, expanding oceans.
 
You're right, I almost forgot about the battle scenes. Both seem to be in a cave, which is what supported my belief of those two icy mountains before...let's just hope they aren't forced to land, so to speak, by the evil team as you said.

I wish it were July already..
 
I like the new Pokedex entries. I had a feeling that Zekrom's tail was some sort of generator. I like WPM's idea of battling Zekrom in a cloud. If that turns out to be true, I wonder where you would battle Reshiram. I would like to see who wins in a fight between Reshiram and Zekrom.
 
Not what I expected for such epic legends. Maybe they are trying to tone down what the legends do so they don't surpass Arceus.

This is VERY cool...

So Reshiram is sort of like a bellows for the planet, while Zekrom is a creator of storms to an extent. I'm liking this very much.

Also, I think everyone knew it was a generator =P It isn't hard to guess.

Too bad we didn't get their regional numbers... xD
 
Cool! Reshiram sounds even more epic than before. Zekrom sounds like a coward, just hiding in the clouds. Come on! Be a man and face the world! Either way, I hope you get to face Zekrom in a cloud.

Maybe you fight reshiram in the center of the Eath, since he heat the earth with his tail. That would be so epic.

Zekrom is comparable to zeus almost, sitting in the clouds and creating lightning... It's not any more cowardly than using a bomber jet. A slow bomber jet with pinpoint instadeath lasers of electricity.

At least, that's what I get out of it. The generating electricity in its tail and hiding in thunderclouds sort of implies...

Why would he be out in the center of the earth? It's sort of difficult to work with the ATMOSPHERE from all the way down there, you know...
 
Reshiram should appear in an explosion of fire, Or have a heat wave effect. Zekrom should be in a cloud then ride down on a lightning bolt.
 
They could control temperature? As Reshiram deals with the atmosphere; The evil team could capture it, and make it open the Atmosphere, so the Sun Rays are more violent and hot. While for Zekrom, it could cause it to downpour and lightning and stuff? Maybe in Black, you need Reshiram, to save Zekrom from harming the weather or something? Or vice versa?
