A new fairy type.... REALLY Nintendo, ?? If they wanted this you shouldn't have made clefairy normal in gen 1...

The new type I can live with though, two new forms form Mewtwo seem pretty cool and dual type attacks sound just awesome!
It's the dragon resistance that keeps bugging me... I find no logic to it as with other weaknesses/resistances.

Oh well, it is as it is I guess...

People talking about the 'rationale' behind weaknesses etc of the Fairy type are a bit off the mark.

Why do Dragons take less damage from Grass and Electric type attacks? There's no 'reason' for that, it's just the way they are.

Although there are a lot of weaknesses and resistances that make sense, there are also a bunch of them that don't - Dragons being serial offenders. It's not a requirement.

Oh come on man! Dark-type is EVIL-type in Japanese! So you want some GOOD-type or GOD-type?
Fairy-type can be Light-type in English right? And weaknesses/resistance really normal. I can find logic to it.
Dragon-type little overpowered. You can just give your Haxorus Choice Band. click Outrage and watch things die! Something immune to it really great.
Stop doubt it because of its name sounds silly to you,

Oh... My engrish sucks... I can read english pretty good but I can't write it >_<

Fighting type is Hero in Japanese. The problem with Dragon's is that they're all good Pokemon, Outrage is only good with STAB (mostly) so don't complain about it, plus with Choice Band when they get Confused they have to switch, and Haxorus isn't that fast anyway.
Also no problem, it's nice seeing people who don't speak English as their 1st language here on PB

I want to believe. I really do. I have been wanting a Magic Type for years and Fairy is just that (I even prefer the name Fairy to Magic). Everything else this source has offered up sounds excellent to me as well. It's just hard to not have doubt when I have seen the same information posted by multiple people before. I am so hoping this is the real deal. Hopefully a couple more of his or her leaks will be confirmed and my belief can grow stronger.

I really hope that if this new type comes out that a large number of old Pokemon are reclassified that way we can have a big Fairy-Type pool to choose from. My local Pokemon Fan Club will have to induct a new Gym Leader and he or she will need 6 non-legendary Fairy Types to use. It could also mean I will seriously have to reconsider my Team (I am the Normal Type Gym Leader) if Togekiss, Clefable and Blissey are all reclassified. That is half my team! Snorlax, Ursaring and Bouffalant better remain Normal only... lol. Maybe I'll just switch Types.

No its not. I've seen this posted a few times now.

Its called KAKUTOU かくとう
its meanings are:
scuffle, wrestling, first fight, hand-to-hand fighting, grappling

STARTER TYPES----

I don't buy the Psy/Fight/Dark thing no matter how accurate the source has been before. Its purely a fan-concept that these form some sort of trio, while gamefreak also wouldnt force secondary types on their starters before already having concepts for them chosen (they clearly design the starters first so long that they are satisfied with the designs and THEN secondary types follow), and I seriously doubt they would coincidentaly be exactly those 3 overhyped types.

And I want a Poison starter that isn't Bulbasaur... Froakie and Chespin are as close as we've got.
Also Dark on a starter...idk if that's something they would do at this point.

MEWTWO----

Ok, I can see it now.

The mewtwo with the female voice has the forme....
since the file of the picture on the website is named M2X.png,
its quite obvious that good old Mewtwo from movie1 will show up to save the day and utilize an M2Y.png forme.

SYLVEON----

Since they "tried" 3 types, and all of them failed (Steel, Poison, Fighting)...out of the 9 types eeveelutions dont have covered..

I'm guessing that they'll try 3 each week. Say
Next: Bug, Rock, Ghost
Next: Dragon, Flying, Ground

Which would then prolong this stupidity to next months corocoro time (which makes perfect sense, since if it was going to be revealed this month we would have found out by now), after they're confused about it being none of these types, they further promise to find out yet next time.
Then it would finally have a reveal, which would be either Normal or something new (GET ON THE FAIRY HYPE TRAIN ALREADY BEFORE ITS TOO LATE).

FAIRY TYPE----

I've been saying this makes the most sense as a new type ever, for a long time now. Except its not just an interesting idea and a joke anymore....this is getting serious LOL

It makes perfect sense in all ways:
-It fits to the current type list (we have other "special creature" types form the beginning: Bug, Dragon, Ghost)
-It fits pokemon. (there is a fairy egg-group already, just like there are Bug, Dragon, Flying, Grass... so again, the egg-group to show what kind of organism it is, and the type what powers it wields well, so it makes perfect sense here too.)
-It even balances the type chart simply by giving it the conceptually appropriate match-ups! (Poison weakness, Dragon nerf...the only thing missing is defensive Ice buff!)

Also, guys, stop crying about poo Dragon getting nerfs:
-it deserves them
-it will still be one of the best types in the game!

The Mewtwo extra form seems legit but don't you think it would have been revealed earlier? It's like revealing White Kyurem but not Black Kyurem.

Liking everything I read... Except for the more likeliness the Fairy-type will happen, from the sound of this... :(

i really disliked the idea of "fairy" type types in pokemon is supposed to be elements or near to it fairy is like a species to me then an element just give us the light type already and end it for all

WPM can you post the rest of the details on the forums not the main site?
i think alot of people wanna read the rest :p
if not we totally understand :D

I think they just want to keep the hype up while still having stuff not known about. If they revealed both of Mewtwo's forms at the same time, they would have to release more from the game to keep hype up.

True, but it just seems un pokemon like to reveal x form then y form.

Also gotta agree with IceDA and m7mad

Still not convinced about the Fairy-type. Its been doubted for so long that its hard to take it seriously...But some of the other ideas seem interesting, such as the EV facility and the starters final evolutions. I'm so exctied to see what they look like!

Bug
Dragon
Ghost
Grass
(even Rock could be considered a species when it is primary type, ie Geodude etc.)

light is too plain, simple and limiting, not to mention already covered by multiple types, while Fairy fits the other species types who also have egg-group equivalents.

Bug - Creature
Dark - No light and in Japanese its EVIL
Dragon - Creature (mythical)
Electric - Energy people would say Element
Fight - The ability to fight
Fire - Energy or Element
Flying - Ability to fly, it isn't air
Ghost - Undead Creature
Grass - Might say Mother Nature suites best, its a spirit or the GRASS
Ground - The ground beneath your feet some would say element
Ice - Its the material Ice (unless its cold in Japanese) so it isn't an element
Normal - Common
Poison - Its Poison not an element
Psychic - The ability to use psychic powers
Rock - The materials rock
Steel - Material too
Water - Element (not on the periodic table :p)

Stop saying that almost all are elements while there are only like 4 or 5 being elements, 3 creatures, 3 abilities, 3 materials and others.

Finally, EVs are being recognized by the game as a very real and important element.
Essentially, battling is the focus of all Pokemon games.
You have to battle to train your Pokemon to become stronger to advance farther in the games.

I mean competitive battling.

yeah the new ev training mechanic sound so reasonable to me finnaly playing with people without "surely" knowing that they use AR to ev train...

Seconded. And to add onto that, WPM, while I can't speak for everyone, I personally don't think you'd be risking looking foolish by posting the rest of the info only to have it turn out to be wrong, as long as you make it clear that it's all unconfirmed. I know I'd like to read it, and as long as we all bear in mind that it's not confirmed yet, I'd see no reason to hold anything against you for having posted it.

There is Mewtwo in the Corocoro cover but there hasn't been anything about Mewtwo there. There are pages missing so I wouldn't be surprised if it shows something about Mewtwo including the Mewtwo form.
