(1) Toonami Returning to Cartoon Network Tonight [5/26]

I am really glad that they have decided to bring back Toonami. Toonami was one of the main reasons I watched Cartoon Network.

Hopefully in the future they will have a much larger selection of shows available.

Everybody NEEDS TO SUPPORT TOONAMI! Fairy Tail and Garterbelt (Aka Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, name abridged for obvious reasons) are probably my favorite animes. Plus, Deadman Wonderland is amazing too.

Fairy Tale dub is kinda meh... Deadman Wonderland dub kinda didn't do it for me either... But it seemed interesting... (both shows EASILY beat the current dub for Pokemon, though) If they would be able to get The Final Act or P&SwG OMFG YES!

Shame they can't bring Kai on uncut because Nicktoons still has the rights to it with the higher ups at CN being IDIOTS and promoting LIVE ACTION on a channel for CARTOONS but oh well. And is Bleach really netting them THAT much in ratings? Don't know why. Bleach on there just rubs me wrong for some reason... Maybe if they brought on One Piece but did ONLY the Funimation dub... But IDK. It's a start though and a step that is WELL in the RIGHT direction.

If I had to make any other complaint... Why run it so damn late? o_O

I skimmed it, missed the part where it says it repeats, and freaked out! :p Then I read it again, saw the part, and was totally happy. :D I'm watching Bleach and some others, I've heard people talk about it, but I've never watched it.

That first show held my interest but the robot one was meh. Very repetitive.

Deadman Wonderland was interesting... But the voice work kinda... Well IDK, it seemed kinda sub-par for Funimation... (This coming from somebody trying to get into the profession.) Then again, was the first episode and I've heard the series does get really good and Funimation usually does a good job on the voice work. For some reason I was disappointed in it... Maybe it was just Greg Ayers, good actor but when he does kid characters his voice is kinda grating... (Negi from Negima is a prime example of this, but even then after a few episodes you get used to it.)

I used to watch a lot of Toonami back in the day, especially Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyou, and Outlaw Star. I don't really have any interest in the new shows (none of them interest me, and what little anime I watch now is always subbed) and I wouldn't be awake and watching TV during those times even if I did, but for nostalgia purposes, I'm happy to see it coming back on air and I hope it does well.

Toonami? Haven't heard from that in years! I remember watching Samurai Jack and some Naruto on it. Very good memories. I wonder if the run times will increase over time. It probably will, as this type of stuff is a BIG deal.

Sitting up in the hospital I was able to catch all of the shows, which was nice. I already own all of the DVDs for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Ghost in the Shell: 2nd GIG (and in the case of 2nd GIG, I literally just finished watching the whole series again a day before), but they were enjoyable as always. Deadman Wonderland was a little strange - I'm not a huge fan of the shows that contrast wacky / childish themes with realistic brutality / death, but it certainly wasn't the worst show they've had in their line-up so continued watching won't be an issue.

I've always wanted to see Casshern Sins, so I was really happy to watch that. That episode really got me hooked on seeing more.

I miss Toonami sooo much! I am looking forward to watching it again. It's going to be a blast from the past. The only thing I watch on CN is Pokemon and Family Guy. So the return of Toonami is amazing :]

I guess it's true when they say you can't go back. I used to love Toonami when I was a child. Now I have no desire to ever see it again.

It might be because of the current selection of shows they're airing, or that I've just moved away from television in general...but I'm not enthused in the slightest.

This will certainly fill the bouts of insomnia I get whenever I periodically return home :Y

I've always been a huge fan of Toonami, and I wrote to CN pretty much begging them to bring it back after the campaign started. I'm impressed with the direction they've taken with it: keeping that nostalgic feel while sprucing it up with some new graphics and shows. As many people have said, they've had very little time and money to work with, and I think that if it receives the attention it deserves, we'll be seeing a much bigger of variety of shows in the future. Video Game reviews are also spot-on as usual!

And I love Cashern Sins already, the animation style reminds me a lot of Cyborg 009.

I'm really glad it's back, and that's a decent line up. Bleach is Bleach, you'll love it or hate it. Deadman Wonderland is a really messed up anime, but it was good. FMA:B is just simply amazing, though I'm seriously sick of Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop, I never did like them. Casshern Sins was a surprised since I didn't think it was popular enough to come state side, I still liked it.

Problem is, I've watched all of them xD Though if they bring Fairy Tail, I will scream like a little girl.

As I watched the return of Toonami, a single tear rolled down my left cheek as T.O.M. spoke the words "Toonami is back ladies".

And after I viewed my post, the reality that my post was auto-corrected dawned upon me, ruining the saying that made my decade...

here is an idea. remember that pokemon animation for the games that came awhile ago? you know that was super awesome and everyone nerdgasmed over? they should make it a show and put it on toonami!!!
