...five changes to Ash's roster? There are only four, really. His Roggenrola evolved into Boldore in the episode that ending first began being shown. But that's just me being nit-picky.
It does evolve! During his gym battle!

Pignite's ugly. Oshawott needs to hurry up and evolve into an awesome Dewott. All of Snivy's forms are fine. Tepig should have stayed basic, like his Cyndiquil.

You have a point, maybe therers some pattern with the types that only certain evolve in every region.

Pignite...ugly?

Does not compute.

It did evolve, like he mentioned. What are you talking about?

I am pretty shocked that Tranquill should be evolving soon, well, unless the ending was to fit the the groups Pokemon of when the ending ends and the ending lasts for about a year and over.

But I'm glad it is evolving and hopefully it gets a new move or more before it evolves and it gets an important battle before evolving.

I find it strange how the only Pokemon that will evolve soon that hasn't already is Tepig into Pignite. Why is it that Ash's Sewadle and Pidove have evolved twice already yet Oshawott and Snivy haven't evolved once! I understand Pidove was Ash's first Pokemon in Unova, but this is rediculous!!!! Ash's Scraggy still has some time because it hatched more recently, but Sewadle was one of Ash's more recent Pokemon. I hope Oshawott evolves soon! Samurott!!! And Iris hasn't been doing a good job of making Axew a Haxorus.

That's how it has always been for Ash's Pokémon though. Charmander evolved twice while Squirtle stayed the way he was. It's a recurring theme in the show: Pokémon evolve when they want to evolve, and it's considered ethically wrong to force an evolution.

In addition, western Pokémon fans may prefer the big tough Pokémon, but the Japanese Pokémon fans prefer the small cute ones. (Munna is VERY popular in Japan, for instance. I don't hear nearly as much about Munna in America.) The anime writers want to fall into a middle ground to please both audiences, so the cast members have a mix of both.

(Did Bayleef ever evolve into Meganium?)
