(1) Worlds 2013 Location: Vancouver, Canada! [8/12]

A Worlds tournament outside the US - in Canada, no less? I'm incredibly happy.

I don't care that I'm not able to go (I'm such a cheapskate I'd never go to any Worlds besides San Diego); having it in Vancouver is going to be absolutely amazing.
Canada's playerbase must be very happy about this, and I don't blame them.
 
As a Canadian player I'm actually somewhat disappointed. It'd be nicer if it was in Toronto.
 
I'm excited because it's cheaper than any other place would have been. Now all we need are dates/locations and I'll be happier.

Like said above Toronto would have been nice considering it's a 6 hour drive from me.

Congrats to 3 Time Champ Ray Rizzo! and the 2 Time Champ Shuto Itagaki for the TCG as well! Congrats to both of yous for defending your titles.

I find it funny that the TCGs were won by other countries while we in the USA dominated the VCGs this year.

Now I eagerly await the Battle Videos for the VGCs! I wanna know what they ran and am VERY MUCH looking forward to fighting them in the World Tournament Download for Black 2! 8D
 
Vancouver = LaRousse City in Destiny Deoxys. Obviously this is a hint that Ruby and Sapphire are getting remakes.
 
Why does this make sense? Canada had 6 VG players and 19 TCG players this year. US had 17 VG players and 120 TCG players. Seems like they should keep it in the US to make the majority of the players happy (though Hawaii still isnt good for travel costs...). I was hoping it would get closer to me... Vancouver isn't really, and now if I want to go I would have to pay for a passport or extended drivers license on top of everything else :(.

Vancouver = on the Pacific Ocean = closer to the Japanese. That's the reason that Worlds hasn't been in Florida lately. Toronto would be more central for US peeps, but this is Worlds, not Nationals, so...

It would be interesting worlds artwork for Vancouver.... I just hope its not maple leafs or hockey :p its hockey isnt it....
 
This is a nice mix up. It's time to stop catering to the exact same player bases. I'm just glad to see that Worlds isn't going to be in the middle of the ocean.

This literally made my week. I'm so happy about this, mostly for selfish reasons. It's a three-hour drive for me to get to Vancouver, assuming a half-hour wait at the border. Could not have asked for better news. :D

Hopefully this isn't a sign that Worlds is going to be in Japan or England or something in the future though.
 
I hope they actually put up the artwork at nationals, instead of 2 friggin' weaks before worlds. I'm an anxious trainer :( Especially since it's in Canada.
 
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! My mom just said I'm going to Vancouver for worlds 2013!!!!! I'm like the happiest Canadian ever right now!!!
 
I don't see a problem with this... It's close to Seattle, and there are quite a few that will be able to make it up that way.

20 bucks says *most of* SPF will make it to Worlds this year. I'd love to myself :D

Hahaha, for real. I like the location, but I'm not sure I'll make it either. Definitely a nice mix-up and a little extra variety doesn't hurt.
