I would fly to Vancouver to pick up that kind of swag.

I can see it now, and my imagination made it look pretty awesome.

^^^^^^^ that sums it up.

Who knows man? Maybe Pokemon will surprise us...
And lets ALL be honest. It's Canada, a hockey-crazy country. They're like BOUND to make it a hockey theme. But we'll have to see.... They never did a sports theme before...did they?

The haven't done sports themes because usually Pokemon People =\= Sports People. Not being stereotypical, just honest.

Ew, Canada

Well, if I ever decide to participate in competitive TCG again, then maybe this is a good thing. I just wish it was Orlando so I could see you-know-who <3

This literally made my week. I'm so happy about this, mostly for selfish reasons. It's a three-hour drive for me to get to Vancouver, assuming a half-hour wait at the border. Could not have asked for better news. :D

Hopefully this isn't a sign that Worlds is going to be in Japan or England or something in the future though.

How.... Dare you...
Ok. Still not much easier for me :p
LONDON.
PLEASE.

A month ago my mom said we might be going to San Diego in the summer to see family friends...

As a business move, I think this is great. For me personally, I really wish it was closer to New England for once.

its worlds!! glad it shifted outside the usa, the usa isnt the world .... altough some might think so :/

It's in CANADA?! whyyyyy I'm not really looking forward to going there if I make it this year. I mean, it's good that they moved it out of the US, but Canada... *sigh* At least wait till next year... I just hope it won't be very cold when Worlds swings around. But, as I don't live in Canada I don't know what the climate is like that time of the year. Eh... whatever.

I was there last week, and it was actually about the same as California normally is, so around 80 degrees.
Now I have to repeat the same trip next year :O Maybe I could drive up, because plane tickets to Vancouver from LAX are ridiculously expensive.

Welp, all those people in New England, including myself, are going to have to wait. I wanted to spectate next year D: But this was a good business move for TPCi, and surely anyone who wants to compete will do whatever it takes. Oh well, maybe the VGC '13 rules will be different.

Hey what are you talking about? I don't see getting to Vancouver as an impossible task. There's always that paid invite. ;P But if that sounds too unrealistic then I'll just get a regular invite and figure out how to get there as soon as I get that far. :3

Ya'll need to calm down, focus on improvig your playing skill, and then we can all have a blast at Worlds! ^.^

How do you expect to get to Vancouver if you don't get a paid invite? It's all the way across the country. And anyway, I was agreeing with alex when he said that he wished it was closer to New England.

YES! I've always wanted to go to Canada.. I'll drive, fly, or whatever! It's only a 17 hour drive from Norcal..

Hockey themed 'swag' would be great too.. As long as the Canucks aren't featured..

I disagree... I want to compete, and I dont see any way to get money for Nats (which is only a few hour drive for me), let alone for a plane ticket/passport for worlds... though this is partially because I have no friends who play, so I would be springing for a hotel room on my own.

Where in Vancouver would it be? Anyone know yet? I think it would be nicer in Canada. It's a lot closer to me too! :]

People who whine about it being in Canada are spoiled brats and need to realize that everyone doesn't live in the USA and that some people need to travel much longer and spend way more money to get to Worlds.
Sincerely,
Finnish guy

Edit: pokemonmbl: lol______whut

Lol I'm not whining about it being in Canada. I support the decision they made, but I wish it could have been closer. Wishing is not whining.
