I think you mean "Travel award", not invite. Plenty of people will win invites w/o travel awards and still need to research where to stay :)
 
I suggest everyone pick a much cheaper hotel in the suburbs and travel to the venue and airport via public transportation. the system is excellent and both venue and airport are only 5 minutes walk away from our rapid Skytrain system.
 
Man this looks awesome and I am in Canada at this time (though I am near Toronto which means I am still far away if you compare to european distances...). Too bad I will not be able to earn an invite this year and I will not have the money to go... hope they will continue to use such great locations in future (Europe would be great to see... we always have to travel most ;_;)
 
Beautiful stuff. I've always wanted to go to Canada man. I can see myself getting thrown out of that balcony into the water by one of my friends though.
I doubt I'll be able to go.
 
If you guys (and gals) are coming to Vancouver, just remember what BC stands for - Bring Cash. Hotels and gas prices will put the hurt on your wallet in Vancouver haha.

Sound advice. I will keep that in mind if I decide to go.
Oh, speaking of which, what would be the deal about currency there? Would we need to have our currency exchanged for Canadian dollars beforehand, or is it one of those locations that you could pay in US dollars and then they'd exchange it for you? (I know there are some places in Mexico that do that; I'm not sure about Canada.)

Canada doesnt take US Dollars so ull have to convert them

Yeah as cf11 said, most places will not convert US dollars, and even if they do you wouldn't want that because they will give a terrible conversion rate.

Just convert your dollars at the bank, it's much easier. :cool:
 
So about an 80% of going to Vancouver. See whoevers going.
