(1) XY14 Trevenant and XY15 Slurpuff in 'Furious Fists' Blisters [8/2]

That much is certain. We all know the actual theft is insignificant, but their behavior and the way they choose to operate speaks volumes about their reputation. I too have deleted their bookmark.

What?
I'm assuming you deleted your post for a good reason, but I'll just post this picture here (since Bulbagarden deleted their twitter post):

Thanks for removing my info. WPM and Bulbagarden still have all three of those tweets up, at least in my Notifications.

Oh boi, this is gonna be in the history books.
Hopefully this will all blow over soon.

Also, Bulbapedia will no longer be my source for looking up Pokemon info.

Unbelievable. Instead of just admitting they were wrong, or at the very least choosing to leave their story the way it was, they change it back to the stolen stuff? After everything that's happened, THAT'S what they choose? Today has been so fascinating, it's really shed light on how their website operates. Judging by the stuff I saw posted here earlier about the webmaster selling out the website and making money off everyone's work on their wiki, NONE of this surprises me anymore. They truly have no respect for anyone else and all of them are probably making a pretty penny. I don't go to their news page anyway, but if I did, I'd delete it from my bookmarks as well.

Though the cards themselves look good I'm dissapointed in how playable promos are. But maybe they're... just for... okay then, if that's how the thread is going...

I'm not seeing the stolen stuff on their scumbag website/news story. Anyone have a link? Screw Bulbanews! amirite?

"Some of you may be aware of an incident today revolving around accusations of plagiarism from another website."
"1. We've compared the articles, and while we could be wrong, we simply cannot see what we're supposed to have stolen. "
"2. We were told a staffer was a victim of verbal abuse, including being called "f****t", over this. We made sure this didn't happen again."
"That's pretty much all there is to say on the matter."

Oh my.

Suddenly people are joining and jimmies are rustling. On the actual stuff that this is supposed to be about though: I am really diggin' the art and I absolutely love the prism coins.

Ya know this sentence is actually funnier than I expected it to be omg.

Alright, so it's obvious they've taken the "let's confuse the issue and lie to everyone" route because they have no respect for the intelligence of their readers to separate truth from bullshit. By playing dumb, they also absolve themselves of any blame.

First accusation to destroy is that their staff member was called a faggot. This is a downright lie, and they know this is. Here are screenshots of the FB conversation I had with the staff member in question (the one who posted the story, whom I've talked to on multiple occasions). There is no name-calling whatsoever, and I have never called anyone "faggot" in my life. Furthermore, blaming this "miscommunication" on their staff member allows them to let him take the blame for all of this, not the organization, which clearly knows what is going on and is trying to cover up their practices: http://pokebeach.com/news/0814/bulbanews.png For them to actually accuse me of calling someone that term is beyond low, and anyone who knows me is well aware that I do not use that kind of language. Ever.

Second accusation is that they don't know what they stole. This is BS, since I already showed them what they stole. You can clearly see that the unique holo pattern of our scan matches the image they posted, especially when it's been pointed out to you. Furthermore, the image they posted is a digital image with a card scan posted over it. That's not how those images are released. As I said before, the guy who posts their card stories is well-aware, as I am, that the online store that Bulbanews used the image from and credited is well-known for doing that. But Bulbanews decided to link to them to avoid linking to us since, you know, we're competitors. Again, they are playing dumb because they have been caught.

The "crime" here is that Bulbanews knew what they were doing when they took the images, tried to credit an online store they often credit so they wouldn't have to credit us (possibly because they're receiving kickbacks from said store), and they tried to cover it up multiple times. They've been caught, so now they're playing dumb on top of it. This issue isn't about the actual stolen content - we don't care about that anymore - it's about the way they operate their site, their practices, their morals, and the way they view other fans. Like I said earlier, even Serebii agrees, and we never agree on anything, lol.

EDIT: For word filters, lol.

Despite this the twitter drones are defending Bulba with bells n' whistles, all while laughing at you.

It's alright, I don't expect most people to look beyond what they posted on their Twitter. When a website is that deep in to doing things like this, it's hard for anyone to believe, so I understand. Heck, even earlier when someone posted links to their Twitter saying they were actually going to post their version of events, I couldn't believe they would actually try to defend themselves and was like "Don't make up false Tweets" or whatever. Lol.

They just keep digging themselves into a deeper hole. They actually accused you of calling someone a faggot? I've known you for 7 years and I have never, ever heard you use that kind of language. This has just gotten so low on their part. It's incredible.

Edit: word filter

I literally cannot sum up my thoughts right now. I have been following this situation all day, and I can only say that I have never seen something so black and white in my life.

Bulbagarden is the worst. If there's a word for "evil," it's them. I am usually a mellow person. I really am. I don't involve myself in website politics. I don't normally care who does what. I just go where I please, and that's it.

But in this case, Bulbagarden just kept revealing more and more of their character as the day they went on and it was incredibly unsettling. They steal? So what. They tried to cover up when they steal? So what. They tried to say WPM was lying? So what. But the point at which it really crossed the line for me is when they said WPM had called them a faggot. A faggot? So what, everyone flings that around on the internet. But if you follow Bulbagarden, you know they are incredibly pro-LGBT. They post things about giving people gay rights, and pro-LGBT issues like that all the time. And for them to actually create this situation, blow it up, and then say WPM called one of their staff a faggot, just goes to show exactly what kind of people they are. Pure and utter hypocrites with no morals. They are the worst.

There are just so many bad levels to this I can't even finish. In regards to their tweet comparing the two news stories. I think that right there proves what they think we as readers are idiots. It only takes 10 seconds to look at both articles to see what Bulbagarden did, /if you know where to look/. Most people aren't going to know where to look - after all, something edited isn't going to be obvious, and most of their readers don't how these TCG images are typically made, so of course people are going to side with them. And that's what they're counting on. They think we're idiots. They literally put the proof in front of us and lied to everyone. I am not an idiot, and neither is anyone else who looks two seconds into what you pulled today, Bulbagarden. Facts are facts, and all them are against you, Bulbagarden. I don't care about the theft, but your behavior, and your attitude, clearly shows that your staff is the worst kind of people.

As for those accusations about the owner of Bulbagarden selling the website and making money off people's wiki articles? Totally believable. Yesterday, no. Today, yes. And for that reason, I will never use them again.

I am sorry that you, WPM, had to get negative attention for all of this, but know that most people who would have looked into this issue would know that you did nothing wrong and that Bulbagarden is just evil. I think about the most infuriating thing is that most people won't know what they're really like. That they've gotten away with it.

I have to admit I'm more than a little peeved that they actually went out of their way to make up I called someone a name like that, then publicized it to their Twitter for all to believe. Isn't that libel? Also makes me angry that they literally lied about everything that happened today and that there's people out there who actually believe it. Grr.

If you believe that what they have said is a direct lie on their part, and it will effect your communities, or your own online image - seek legal advice.

When I read they were going to give their "version" of the story I was really curious about how they were going to try and talk themselves out of it. All the evidence is right there for everyone to see. Each of their actions was just lower as the one before, but I did NOT think that they would go as far and low as saying that WPM called someone a faggot. NEVER in my career on PokéBeach have I heard WPM use this kind of language. I know how much he hates it when people cuss for no reason, which is why we actually have to use ways to go around the filter to make these posts. You would expect people that run a site with so many viewers to think about the things they place on the internet. Have you considered that your 10 year old followers might be asking their parents right now wat a faggot is, Bulbagarden? To so selfishly use such language and to try to put the blame on others. For what? To make yourself look better? That failed. Even though I never joined their website, I had nothing against it until today. The way they operate is harmful and disrespectful.

I definitely made the right choice in the community I decided to join.

Well, it's 100% a lie. I mean, I even showed you all the proof. But I'm not petty enough to sue them or whatever. Like I've been saying this whole time, I'm just shocked that they think it's okay to act like that when they're that big of a website. Hopefully others see what they are.

Sadly enough, I think that this might get to that point IF it goes further. But even if WPM did that, it's not going to be easy. I mean, if they're capable of this, who knows who is in charge of their legal department and what are they willing to do.
