BW/BW2 14 gyms?

Maybe the 6 other gyms are like those other gyms in the anime where you've never heard of them but you can still get a badge from them. And maybe if you beat all 14 you get a special prize like a shiny Pokemon or a special rare Pokemon form, or a rare Pokemon from another region.

How, exactly was this proven? Also, think about this. If they started working on Black and White as soon as Diamond and Pearl were completed (which is probably what happened), and it's just coming out now, It would take about 15 years to come out with a game with 5 regions, 40 gyms, and all the little extras that make the Pokemon games be interesting after you beat it. Don't forget that in that time, there will be another 5 portable Nintendo systems (probably) and at least another 5 Pokemon regions. Maybe when Gamefreak decides "Ehh, no more Pokemon." they'll do something like that.
 
Ever since the Indigo anime sage when Gary flashed his ten badges, or when ever there have been other trainers with badges different than those Ash had, I've thought it'd be a neat idea for the games have that aspect carry over.
That being that a region could have more than 8 gyms, however you only need 8 badges to progress to the league battles.
Leaving the other two or so to be challenged just for fun.

Maybe these other major cities just don't have gyms in them. Big cities don't especially need some famous landmark. It's just a place where tons and tons of people happen to live.
 
I hope there aren't 14 just because then there would be so many HM. HG/SS had too many HMs IMO and I would hate it if they added even more. Although, they could just not hvae every gym unlock an HM. If they did that, I wouldn't mind 14 gyms. But I doubt they would do that.

ya hms are lame, but someone said it is confirmed that there are only 8 gyms so, we dont have to worry

it will be 8 gyms, that will never change. i remember that jubilife was a big city and it had no gym...
